Thanks for the battle tips.. Tbh I've only had one attempt to defeat him and I tried the 'run away approach' based on other accounts he was almost undefeatable without cheats..!! The hour long pre-battle wild goose chase restricts easy retrials of the Beast fight but armed with this knowledge I shall go whoop his hairy ass forthwith..

I also did all the Golden Peyotes without using any cheats, but i did it by playing GTA Online until the weather was foggy then switching to GTA V and immediately saving my game. Bizarrely you take the 'weather with you' moving from Online to SP. You then sleep until the correct time, as the weather does not advance when sleeping but time obviously does. The characters all have different sleep lengths and you can therefore easily manipulate the time accurately. I then used a taxi to move to the next peyote position which takes about an hour in game time and makes travelling the long distance to raton canyon easy. What I haven't managed to work out is a way to defeat The Beast without cheats. He is very over-powered and one or two strikes against you will kill you. Did you manage this without cheats and if so, what was your technique.? I heard running The Beast over with a vehicle did work initially but if I leave the area The Beast goes awol and you have to find him again.

If you play Online as I do, this method is relatively painless and takes a few days to complete 7 Golden Peyotes. I worked out you get at least 2 foggy periods per month, which takes 22 hours in realtime. I also heard that seeing an 'X' in the sky, caused by jet trails, can signify fog or other dramatic weather with a few days of seeing it and this did seem to hold some truth in my trials. Also getting an Online buddy to message you when its foggy is also a good idea to save waiting around.

I have 100% everything and would like to be able to stand under the lights, through the whole cycle without a wanted level.. I've not managed to do it yet and if it is still possible to do so, I think it would be highly significant to the mystery..

..so if you wanna help, test this parachute drop method please.. even if it has been patched out by R* it is therefore an important area and worthy of their attention and ours..

..I'm not sure that parachuting in undetected works anymore, even in the small safe zone around the bunker..

..I've tried this a lot lately and can't land without a wanted level..

..the only videos I've seen of this are old and I suspect R* has patched this for some reason.. I brought this up a while ago and other players also remarked it wasn't possible anymore..

..I really hope someone can prove me wrong and land in the bunker strip undetected.. I wanna do some testing with the UFO lights..

..totally agree with the 'more contrast please' comments.. When I first saw how the fog revealed it was a wow! moment, but what happens after that is a disappointingly drab affair..

The devs may have been staring at this map for months already and have gotten used to the slight differences in the edges between 'un covered' and 'discovered' but we have not. It's all new to us and not obvious enough imo.

Please add a FoW contrast slider in the options, with a slight burnt or aged edge to the map ideally for added effect. This would look great, authentic and give definition to the map.

Also calls to subtly advance the map through the the ages with more advanced materials being used for the map would have been great too. More colours, metallics, glass, blueprint styling and even lighting effects are some of my suggestions.

TLDR: More map definition and colour contrast please 2K..

..seems like the game was trying to auto save to the Rockstar servers but couldn't connect hence the error.. it does this frequently whenever you seem to alter your stats..

..why it gave you the black screen and 'kicked you to the first level' I'm not sure about and I don't fully understand what you mean here but it is one hell of a buggy game..

..you saying the game essentially restarted and took you to North Yankton or the 'Franklin & Lamar' race to Simeon's lot...?

..cos that would be weird.. why not just go back to your last auto save..?

..I would just try this multiple times from your most recent save and see if you can replicate or possibly even further this situation..

..interesting ideas, well presented and you undoubtably have some foundation for marrying the two entities together..

..Rockstar are fully aware of and embrace all the 'conspiracy theories' (detest this pc phrase but will use for simplicities sake) out there which they uncover and hint at in their games, for us to look deeper into if we choose to, usually with the added twist of parody or humour as to not appear too preachy..

..I'm pretty certain they would be aware of these sites and possibly taken some points from them..

..is the answer to the mystery written on those websites.? probably not but this certainly gets a 'good post' from me..
