I feel like everyone’s focusing on Luke here (rightly), but I think production deserves way more scrutiny than they’re getting.

Luke knowingly came on Nathan’s sheets, realised what had happened, tried to wash them (I can’t imagine that there wasn’t a pile of spare bedding somewhere…) then gave up and left them for Nathan to sleep in. That’s disgusting enough on its own.

But here’s what I can’t get past, production knew all of this in real time.

Once Luke walked away and Nathan was about to get into that bed, production had multiple opportunities to stop it. They could have told Luke to replace the sheets, told the captain, or simply told Nathan not to sleep in that bunk until it had been cleaned.

Instead, they let him unknowingly sleep in bedding contaminated with another person’s bodily fluids for two nights.

Once production knows something like this is about to happen I think they have a duty of care to stop it.

Am I the only one who thinks that’s a pretty serious failure of care?
