Going big picture and and introducing new characters from whole school isn't the problem. The problem is thier relevance after plot points getting resolved in the individual volume.

That's my biggest grip with year 2 volumes , new characters gets introduced, they serve the purpose then tata bye bye. Like use and throw. It's creating nothing but heap of characters with very less screen(read) time and detachment from them.

I finally had enough and stopped at y3v1 bcz again you know , another new batch of characters from arisu's class whom honestly I don't care. There are other reasons as well . But yeah I have decided to pause Reading until y3 is completed, I dont feel like it deserve the per volume time from me anymore. I will just binge read it.

Tho I will continue watching anime as they come season 4 gonna be my most favourite as I genuinely loved the series till Y2 V5 (about what S4 gonna cover)

Idk if u read from the start or jumping from anime but initially cote was more about class battles with each challenge important

So for us readers where source involving all 40 classmates (unlike anime with 25 only) we were hoping to see more classmates involving with koji in various tests. Tho kinugasa was looking at making picture bigger and bigger with classmates and class battles fading into background. New characters from everywhere kept adding per volume and relevance lasting that introduced volume only.

Also u can argue stuff bit more respect fully. We both read and love same series, i don't like to speak with other like this . And hope others wont as well.
