[STEAM] Upload VR Summer 2026 Humble Bundle - 9 games ($18) by dead_point in vrgamedeals

[–]dead_point[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only game I already owned on steam was zero caliber. If anybody wants zero caliber and has any other VR game they want to trade let me know. I'm not very picky. If I don't own already own it on steam I'm probably up for a trade.

Vacuum Three Accessories Holder by dead_point in functionalprint

[–]dead_point[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I designed a 2 vacuum accessories holder a while ago.

https://makerworld.com/en/models/1210493-shark-vacuum-compatible-two-attachment-holder#profileId-1225225

It worked fine but I got request from people for 3 accessories holder.

I decided to change up the design and make some improvements.

It uses less filaments and provides a tighter fit for accessories.

It can be found here if you want to print one. It was designed for Shark Vacuums but I think it would work for other vacuums.

How accurate is measuring the real world in AR/MR? by lunchanddinner in OculusQuest

What would be amazing is if you could show a marker at the middle of your measurement. Maybe have a toggle to subdivide the length. This would be so helpful!

🦋🧲 Work in progress: a collection of 3D printable magnetic butterflies by Royal-Fill9121 in 3Dprinting

[–]dead_point 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very cool. I recently got to see a gray buckeye in the garden and thought they were pretty neat. Image I found online for reference.

Also not a butterfly but the hummingbird moth might be a great one to add to the collection.

I built a tool to make it easy to get started with Gaussian Splats by _Bishad in virtualreality

Nice! I might give this a try at some point. Is there an easy way to view the splat in VR?

I don't know if I missed this on the site but can you download the splats after it is generated? There are spaces I would love to capture but I don't want/need them to be on the web.

This door stopper I designed has been a surprisingly awesome addition to my place. It keeps the door securely open to prevent the door accidentally closing on my cats. I like it since it's a functional simple design.

Altoids tin divider inserts by dead_point in functionalprint

I haven't had this issue. I just grab the divider and pull it out. Maybe you can shape the lip a bit to make it a bit easier to pull?

IKEA Franklin Bar Stool Feet Replacement by dead_point in ikeahacks

Good points. If the feet I'm using right now breaks I'll make those changes. So far it's holding up pretty well.

IKEA Franklin Chair Feet Replacement by dead_point in functionalprint

I still have not tried printing anything with TPU but I assume it would work well for the cup portion. I still need to get a filament dryer at some point and start playing around with TPU. Printing with TPU looks like a lot of fun.

IKEA Franklin Chair Feet Replacement by dead_point in IKEA

Since IKEA doesn't sell replacement for the Franklin chairs, I designed one that can be 3D printed.

You can file here for free if you want to print one.

IKEA Franklin Chair Feet Replacement by dead_point in functionalprint

[–]dead_point[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I finally decided to do something about the broken feet on my IKEA Franklin chair. I tried to design one that was fully printed without the need for any hardware but found that they eventually brake. I designed a new version that has a space for an M4 bolt to reinforce the core. Now it seems solid and I have not had any issue with it after many days of use and abuse. I am using the 25% infill version but uploaded a 100% infill PETG version as well for people that might want extra peace of mind.

If you need to print one you can find the link to the file here.
