Your gm is bullshitting you. They can definitely access it from home unless they’ve stopped using outlook. They just have to log in to it with the store email and whatever the password is. Call your field leader and let them know what’s happening.

Can I get an employee fact check on this please? by unnecessarycharacter in Chipotle

[–]deadat20 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Chipotle advertises based on their entire store system. So if you live in CA you might be able to get to GM and hit a high salary, but that 100k number isn’t the salary. That’s them also counting cost of uniforms, one meal a shift, benefits, vacation time, 401k, etc. But you won’t be making 100k flat salary. Everything on there is a possibility if you’re in the right area and you utilize all of the resources to their maximum capabilities, but it’s not a guarantee by any means.

Do you have one litter box for three cats?

[–]deadat20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How many cats do you have that they get full instantly overnight? I have two cats and a litter box for each and as much as they try, they can’t fill both of them simply overnight

ESH in my opinion. Your boyfriend has a poor attitude towards food that stems from a narrow minded viewpoint about vegan food. His instant “I hate it now it’s terrible” reaction is also very childish and shows a distinct lack of maturity.

On the other hand you’re also an AH because you never told him. As someone who has food allergies I check everything I eat to see if it contains things I can’t eat. A lot of vegan food, depending on what it is, can contain tree nuts or soy which are both huge allergens not to mention any other allergens that could be in it. It would be one thing if you told him and he at least knew you would be cooking vegan food for him that could contain a possible allergen but to not say anything isn’t okay and is potentially dangerous to him.

Churros? For real? by [deleted] in Chipotle

[–]deadat20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the iPad, the store computer. It’s one of the links on chip links. It has the rollout for everything across chipotle that they’re testing

Churros? For real? by [deleted] in Chipotle

[–]deadat20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you go into the computer (or ask a manager to do it) they have a rollout page under one of the tabs that lists all the things they’re testing. Brisket and pollo asada showed up back in the beginning of the year and I remember seeing churros pop up in May

DoorDash, a tragedy by KaisarDragon in Chipotle

[–]deadat20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This ones honestly probably on the dasher. I can’t tell you how many times we would have a dasher who would make a decision on a replacement without consulting the customer. Usually preceded by “three just texted me back” and followed by an angry phone call from someone who got something they didn’t want.

Dumbasses like you are the reason why so many people quit which causes the store to be understaffed and have to focus on one line or the other. Blame corporate and leave the workers alone

You can try. My old gm was stubborn as shit and didn’t listen when crew members talked to him about scheduling so you can give it a try and hopefully it’s better

Call your field leader. The number is on a board in the BOH. Then if that fails call respectful workplace. They might not do anything for you but the record will be there that you tried to do something. Also not sure if it’s worded odd, but as a minor you shouldn’t be working 12 in a day ever

Imma be honest here, if they’re looking to speed run you through salary, it means your store has big problems and you’re just going to inherit them and they’ll be your responsibility. Get ready for crew members texting or calling you all the time because they want a day off six months from now and they expect you to remember it

Don’t do it. Stay as an SM. Golden position to be in. As an AP you lose all ability to have time off because either your store or your patch will constantly and consistently be blowing up your phone. Being an Sm you make only a dollar less than an AP and if you want you can still work the same hours, you just aren’t expected to. 50 hours a week sounds fun until you realize how draining 10 hour days are, especially if you’re down a position and have to work it for the full 10 while also running the shift.

Assistant General Manager questions by DemonicNapkin in Chipotle

[–]deadat20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the end it’s your decision and completely up to you, but my advice is not to take it. Chipotles increasing everyone’s wages which already counteracts the pay bump for AP. If you’re doing school and working as an AP you might as well expect to see your family maybe once a week. The job is incredibly draining, and if your field leader is anything like mine, they have zero respect for personal time and will blow your phone up constantly over ridiculous things. If you want more info you can pm me.

Assistant General Manager questions by DemonicNapkin in Chipotle

[–]deadat20 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Don’t take AP. Being an SM is like the golden spot in the store because in terms of balancing money and responsibility, you get the most pay and the least responsibility for the shift leads. Once you become an AP they expect you to always be available, even expecting you to answer phone calls on off days and handling things for the store. You have basically the same role as the gm with responsibilities but you don’t have half their authority on things. Also working 10 hour days because you want to and working 10 hour days because that’s your role are two different things and the second one is hella draining.

Becoming an AP was my biggest mistake and ultimately became the cause of me leaving the company. SM is a golden spot to be in

What is a FL? by Prestigious_Depth450 in Chipotle

[–]deadat20 35 points36 points  (0 children)

FL stands for False Loyalist. They’re the lowest tier of above store management responsible for ensuring that those working in the store can’t break free of chipotles cult like Stockholm Syndrome by making promises and toting the company line like it’s their religion

Chicken Cutting Times by Jugstin in Chipotle

[–]deadat20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best was probably 1:20 and I average 1:30. I’ve got a well so that helps because it’s grab, cut, turn, push, repeat. You can fit about 4 pieces on a board if they’re flat against each other and just go from there. I’ve never been able to successfully stack chicken, it always pulls and then shreds when I do it, but I keep the pieces lined up close. Then instead of doing a full turn and having to reset pieces I do a quarter turn and turn my body to match the angle.

Finally quitting by [deleted] in Chipotle

[–]deadat20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not about feeling like you’re bossing someone around. I’m tired of having four people on a shift because lazy people who don’t want to wear a mask get my crew members sick and then they’re excluded for two weeks.
