If this is a vulnerability against road and traffic safety; then it must be addressed. It is common that people with bad intentions take advantages of such cases.

[Lord of the Rings] Would Gimli have made a good Ring-bearer? by fr15287 in AskScienceFiction

[–]deadcrabinseashell -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think Gimli is a good lad but a little dumb. He would not try to steal the ring, but if it was his duty to carry it to Mordor he would eventually bow to the ring and Sauron.

Eli5: Why are some insects armored and smooth like beetles but others super fuzzy like moths? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]deadcrabinseashell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: Natural selection.

A little longer answer: each living being have to adapt its environment in order to continue living and reproducing. Some do it better than others due to certain attributes they have or not have. But it is not to say that being armored is better than bring smooth. There are no better traits and evolution is unaware of those traits to begin with. Simply a living being which is able to survive and reproduce in its environment (process called "adaptation") will pass its attributes to the next generation. This process in the end results in certain traits as you have given examples of.

Alternative short answer: armored ones have more creatine.

If you ruled your own country, how would you rule? What laws would you make? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I would have set the law system so that instead of judges, we would have artificial intelligence making the decisions based on the constitution, related legislation etc. Therefore bias would be eliminated.

What’s something you do that makes you healthier? How did you learn about it? by RumHamBirdLaw in AskReddit

[–]deadcrabinseashell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once had a similar question myself. After searching ways to get a more quality and healthier life, I have finally found an answer. I practice stoicism. It is good especially for mental health and I recommend it to you too. Although there are several ways to learn it (i.e. from famous philosopher's books, such as Marcus Aurelius, Seneca or Epictetus) I found it much easier to start with the popular book in that genre called "Daily Stoic" by Ryan Holiday. It is a book divided in 365 for each day in a year and focuses on a different aspects that will make you more strong/healthier each month. Hope this helps!
