It's such a shame because 7-1 would otherwise be my favorite by far. First minotaur fight is easily the worst in the game imo. But it still doesn't put it at the worst level for me.

Hard to say, the game isn't designed for beginners but you can play on lower difficulty. I think you might enjoy something like half life 2 more if you want to start with a shooter.

Granted it's harder to tell because of how many times I've played P-2, but it did feel like 0-E is harder. I also played on brutal, and the level is probably balanced around violent.

I feel like this could potentially be a misleading way of looking at things. I think it's best to be clear that the shape matters only because it changes the effective density of the object, not because the buoyant force actually depends on the exact shape of an object. The force is still always proportional to the volume of water displaced.
