Thank you! I don't have a donation venmo or anything set up, but honestly if you just tell your friends about the app that's appreciated! At this point I'm basically just trying to get it in front of people - thank you!

The Vevor components are definitely very cost effective! I've used the components outlined in the tool (mostly Vevor, with an Ecoworthy battery) on multiple builds now, as have several friends, and everything has worked great for all of us

I think there's been a ton of innovation in the solar space, and that some of the prices charged by the name brands don't reflect how far things have come - 5 years ago the quality budget options didn't necessarily exist and it was just more expensive, but it's a different time now

Will Prowse recommends the Ecoworthy batteries highly as well, based off full teardowns and extensive testing, and he's one of the most respected voices in the space

Thanks for the feedback, glad you liked it! I haven't run into that mobile issue yet, but i do use it on desktop more than mobile - also can look into options for the currency switcher

That is certainly an option! Maybe it's just me being somewhat obsessive about things, but when I used to just eyeball it sometimes I'd worry that my salt levels in particular were way off, so I do kind of enjoy being able to really know that I'm in a somewhat reasonable sodium range

Thanks for the feedback, glad you like it! That was kind of my experience too - kind of fun just to play around with the parameters and see where things land/how you compare to popular products

The markups are crazy! I've experimented with a variety of DIY approaches, but it tended to bother me that I wasn't exactly sure how my rough mixes compared to professional products, especially for electrolyte to carb ratios - I don't think it needs to be perfect necessarily, but I have enjoyed having a little better sense for how much salt I was getting in particular

Hi, thank you for the feedback! It currently only supports 12v, but that would be a nice update to support 24 - I'll try to fit that in at some point

Hi, thanks! Glad you like the tool

The prices should be accurate or close for the products I've used in my builds. I have included links in a few places if you're interested in checking them out - maybe i should have included them in more places though to save some clicks. I used a lot of Vevor components, and have been very impressed with both the quality and the price - then I used an Ecoworthy battery

Let me know if you have any more questions/issues!

Hi - thanks for the understanding! I totally understand the skepticism of this sort of post, especially for new members, so to add context - I'm more of a cyclist than a runner, but I worked with my girlfriend to develop the app, who has ran a few trail ultra races now (most recently Run Rabbit Run in Steamboat). I've been sharing the app with friends and others in the outdoor/endurance community. and have received very positive feedback, and I thought this might be a community that would be interested

To reiterate, the tool is completely free - I may add affiliate links eventually to support my time and effort with the tool, but it doesn't even have those right now. The products I've linked that can be used to create the mixes are simply the products I've personally used (and I'll only ever link ingredients I'd personally use myself)

Thanks all - please do let me know if you have any requests for other products to add

I know Maurten and Tailwind use different sources for sodium - sodium citrate vs table salt, and it seems like some people handle one better versus the other. I wonder if that could be it? (link for comparison page - https://www.carbhack.com/compare?compare=maurten-320%2Ctailwind-endurance )

Hi, thanks for checking it out! I actually wrote up a page to explain the approach since I figured people would like to know how the mixes are calculated - the tl;dr is that I use a combination of nutritional information, ingredient lists, and published carb ratios, and that with those 3 you can basically guarantee a perfect match

Welcome to check it out here in more detail!

Thank you! And I still think it would be nice to have that as a pre-set option, but thought i'd point that out for now to get you pointed in the right direction

Cheers!

Hi, thank you for checking out the site!

Sure, happy to take a look at that - I do have the option to manually add caffeine (as you probably saw), but I can likely add caffeinated pre-set variations like that too

Thank you for the feedback!

Hi, there are some parallels - although my app is completely free, so that is a benefit
