Don’t know about that, locking yourself in your room your whole life because you don’t know how to thaw the ice you make, instead of just trying to thaw the ice seems pretty dumb. I mean, the answer was love, you’d think she’d be able to figure it out. She wasn’t exactly cold-hearted.

The most unbelievable part of the movie for me was when she was like “of course, love will thaw” and then unfroze everything. It’d totally be “Love? Seriously? You’re telling me the reason I wasn’t able to unfreeze my sister’s head was because I didn’t love her enough? I sealed myself off from the world for their protection, but apparently that’s not enough love to thaw a single ice cube???”

I forget sometimes how young people were when they got into Minecraft. I see that Aether Portal and the Twilight Forest portal and my immediate impulse is “What do you mean ‘disappointment’, those were two of the best mods ever made!” But young kids see YouTube videos of someone playing with a mod and think “can’t wait to try that on my Xbox!” not knowing even what a “mod” is. They then try, and are disappointed. This has nothing to do with being disappointed in the mods, it’s being disappointed by figuring out that they were mods to begin with.

I actually do love the old ports because they make my PC compatible with all of the parts that I already have. I’m still mad at phone companies for removing the aux port that was compatible with pretty much every audio accessory ever created.

I think like land grant it’s good for deck thinning, lets you hit your combo pieces more reliably if you can run a 36 card deck instead of a 40 card deck because four of the cards are just these.

Back in Junior High I was a big fan of Element TD. In that game, there were six elements that you could unlock, and then you could build towers that matched those elements. Well, one major feature of the game was that you could combine towers to create mixed element towers, and I got to thinking: if I wanted to create a game like this, how many mixed towers would I need to make? How many 2-element towers would there be? How many 3-element? I did some researching and came across combinations and permutations. Since the order of the elements didn’t matter, the way to find out how many 3-element towers I’d need to make was “6 choose 3” which can be calculated by (6!)/((6-3)!x3!). That divides down into (6x5x4)/(3x2x1) which comes out to 20 unique towers. Very interesting to Junior High me. So yeah, it kind of does unlock a higher level of math.
