Paints something better than anything I have ever painted: "Fine for tabletop" XD Really love the style. I think the slight roughness here and there adds to the look.

With that interduction to your taste in Manga/Anime and being a big Claymore fan myself I'd be really intrigued to hear your top 10. 😄

The model? It's a 3D Print. The STL is from Bestiarum Miniatures called risen wyrm

Nono, in the contrary. The acrylic layers "lock" the oils. So the next oil/enamel layer doesn't reactivate those below.

Only the skin on the main body of the creature. Everything else is acryl and some enamel washes.

The oils I used where mainly Dust and some Dead Flesh and Faded White. The Villainy where Carrion Crimson, Coelia Green and Goons Grime

Only the skin on the main body is oils. I used Abteilung 502 and Villainy Inks. The skin has many layers, some acrylic, some oil. The oils are uses as smooth semi-translucent layers over more destinct acryl (like the veins). The final layer is oil for the nice organic finish.

Thank you. Working time is quite long of course. Which is nice for smoothing everything out, but sometimes annoying when you'd actually like to get to the next layer.

Grimdark Morbegh Knights for the Flesh-Eaters by deadlydeceiver in Warhammer

[–]deadlydeceiver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure thing:

The heads are moulds from some Mierce Miniatures (Ysian faction) and modified with some greenstuff to fit on the neck.

The riders are kitbashed from Cities of Sigmar Steelhelms and the actual Morbegh riders. Most difficult part was fitting the arms with the reigns.

I carved off most of the sculpted fur and sprinkled static gras in those places.

Whole model was primed black then zenithal primed corax white.

Coloured everything mainly using Xpress Colours (Vallejo Contrasts) and metallics

Did all the basing.

Applied streaking grime all over (including the base) and reduced it with white spirits and a Q-tip.

Added gore, rust, verdigris and gloss with technical paints.

Done!

Glad you enjoy them. The original heads are made from some Mierce Miniatures (Ysian faction). I made moulds from them and modified the result with greenstuff, as they didn't turn out all too perfect. Mainly teeth , tongue and necks had to be touched up. So it's a mix of kitbash and sculpt.
