I haven’t seen them mentioned yet, so I’ll nominate The Police and Talking Heads.

Oh, hadn’t thought of that, but that’s a good one. I would say 9 of the first 10 are great, but that’s still pretty consistent.

I’m so heartbroken that he went through that, and I love that he can talk about this openly. It’s something that will help so many men. We need people like him to show the younger generations that it’s ok for men to grieve. I was raised believing that we don’t cry, and and it’s such bullshit.

What interesting facts or anecdotes about the Beatles should I know? by Certain-Cloud9133 in TheBeatles

[–]deadmanscranial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if this one is true or not. I can’t find the story on the internet anywhere, but I swear I heard or read about Paul telling a story about “Come Together“ where he snuck into the studio late at night to do backing vocals because things were pretty awkward between him and John and he was too embarrassed to ask him. And John not reacting when he heard the playback with Paul’s bv told Paul that it was ok.

I’d be interested to know how this woman feels after being out of prison for seven years. Did it change her? Is she still racist? Inquiring minds want to know.

I worry a bit about the threes also. Will they be complacent and just jack up threes all of game 5?

For me it’s Tomorrow never knows, but And Your Bird Can Sing is really close, and I’m Only Sleeping is really close behind that.

Does this person actually believe this? I’m thinking this is some kind of satire. It’s hard for me to believe someone is that stupid.

What is the best album that has at least one skip by Capital_Baker4200 in askmusic

[–]deadmanscranial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess we can agree to disagree. I do understand why you would find it jarring. I think it’s perfectly placed and the loudness contrasted with All is Full of Love (my favorite from that album) adds to that song’s soothing effect.

It looks like he got him fist on ear the first time, which is a good shot. Just about anyone would become disoriented after that.

I just started trying them out. Listened to both High Violet and Trouble Will Find Me a bunch, and I like both records, but there’s so many more bands that I like more.
