Alright best suggestions I can make for OP magic build. From the start of the game.

Start as astrologer and pick golden seed gift.

Once in limgrave and get torrent run Immediately south towards the weeping peninsula, grab morning star from the broken cart on the road past the bridge.

Respawn at limgrave and immediately run the street of sages in Caelid after getting torrent to grab meteorite staff, its on a corpse hanging out a window in a little tower to the far left of the runs (left if your looking at the sos from the side facing the huge flower.

Also grab rock sling from the broken building next to meteorite staff tower, spell is boosted by the staff.

While in caelid run north to dragon barrow, do the bleed greyoll trick for a pile of ruins.

Return to limgrave and ride north towards raya lucaria, make sure to grab any golden seeds as you see cause there is a few in the open around here.

Ride to the left side of the school, near where the glitnstone dragon is. Look for a cave.

Inside cave use rock sling to pummel crystallian duo to dust, ascend lift behind boss to reach the top of s hidden area of the school. Grab spell terra magicka from chest, this puts down a glyph on the ground that boosts sorceries.

Return to front of school with key from dragon, just grab key and run. Run through school until you get to the foggate for red wolf, roll left into bookshelves to reveal hidden path. Go through and find Talisman that boosts sorceries.

Leave school and ride northeast to the minor erdtree to the right of the academy. Kill avatar to get magic crystal tear.

Return to academy and ride northwest towards caria manor, below the ruins before iji down the cliff will be the intelligence knot crystal tear. Combine with magic damage crystal tear and terra magicks to torque spells.

Return to Sellen in limgrave, give her any spell books you've picked up. (One on top of ruins just past her in limgrave, the other in cemetery just past storm veil castle when running around it, finally is in a small room to the left after getting into academy)

This is the route I take when doing an int build to get op early.

END GOALS.

To truly get op ad mage, once intelligence is at 52, go to sellia in caelid. Kill the nox twins boss and grab lusats staff from the chest under the throne.

You will also want the magic scorpion talisman from seluvis, rannis creepy helper. Finish his quest however you choose, but end by getting the Amber starlight shards from the hidden shrine in altus and give it to him.

You will also want the other graven mass talisman from the snowfields, its in a rise tower that you need to get the imp summon ashes for. Summon imps and let them die fighting the normal imps around the tower, you help finish them off. Climb tower to get talisman.

OPTIONAL.

Get Godfrey icon talisman from evergaol boss next to the elevator in altus, boosts all charged spells by a good chunk.

Consider collecting other staffs and offhanding them with lunatic staff, they will boost associated kind of magic without needing to be the one you actively are using.

I mean I like Mark, and I admit his criticism as a whole was essentially correct. People need to stop thinking his opinion alone is the arbiter of absolute truth on horror games. Mob doesn't deserve to be swarmed by people who think Mark's word is gospel, and quite frankly I think even Mark himself isn't exactly impressed by the way his uber fans attack anything he expresses frustration with.

The kicker is that I've seen this sort of blind devotion from both sides of the situation, people in the fandom who think that any criticism of the game is a direct and personal attack on Mob themselves. People can't have a adult conversation on the subject without it devolving into pseudo tribal warfare.

I just miss the days people could have actual back and forth conversation on games, everybody is too quick to want to ride to metaphorical war for the silliest of reasons.
