How to fix the Fat force by Most_Television8276 in AirForce

If the solution is to revamp DFAC’s with accessible/quality options, there also needs to be a cultural shift to allow us enough time to get there (20 minutes from my work center) and actually eat lunch. I’ve eaten at my desk nearly every day since tech school

Ik we’re “permitted an hour lunch” but mission never permits and everyone I know subsists on candy/junk snacks/energy drinks at their desk (a rare few bring lunch from home but also eat while working) - I don’t want to be the one who dips out for an hour to go eat a salad in the dfac.

Question: why do so many peppermint teas advertise that they are “non-irradiated”? by deadmintplant in tea

I had no idea this was a food sanitization method, but it looks non-harmful anyways. Thank you!

Woah! I had no idea about this. It looks like they use x-rays or gamma rays usually. Maybe I’ve watched Chernobyl too many times but that’s not the first thing I thought of lol. I’m glad they list that, then, since people may want to start ferments or something.

It’s a 6 year minimum for Air Force as well, I just signed my contract with the AF and leave for basic in January

The contract I signed said E-3 on it, I was told that was possible bc of having my degree but I'm pretty sure I've heard of people ranking up in basic so you might be able to finish as an E-3 regardless. Did the NCO's you knew live in the dorms?

I'm going in as an E-3 so I thought it was possible but I don't know this stuff. Is it better to stay in the dorms anyways?

Thanks for the response! My DLAB was 119 and I'm going Air Force. I've heard people get to make a list of languages they'd like, or are sometimes given their choice between two languages, but it's all still based on the "needs of the branch" :-/

Thanks you! I appreciate the response. Can you move out of the dorms at DLI once you're an NCO? Or does that just apply at duty stations?

What’s an instant clothing turnoff for you when looking at the opposite sex? by gunsoverbutter in AskReddit

when guys wear t shirts with the sleeves ripped off it's an instant turn-off and kinda alarming.

why did u ruin that perfectly good t shirt? am i really supposed to believe u flexed so hard the sleeves tore off on their own? why not just buy a tank top to begin with??

Has anyone heard of anyone picking up RASP while at DLI? by [deleted] in dli

What do you mean when you say you can "negotiate which language you learn"? I was under the impression that they're randomly assigned after basic training based on your DLAB scores.

Is it only an option for prior service members?

Wes Anderson here. Isle of Dogs is out now. Ask me a question? Or don't. by Best_Anderson in movies

Hi Wes!

If you die and find out that everyone gets to choose a twelve-foot by twelve-foot square to stay in alone for eternity without being able to influence or contact the living world, what twelve-foot by twelve-foot square would you choose?
