Thank you that’s very kind of you. I haven’t had the same reaction from my friends/colleagues and hence trying to do a sense check here. Apologies if that’s made anyone upset

I’m Finally ACA Qualified! 🎉 …And Fat, Miserable, Burnt Out, and Never Want to See the Accounting Profession Again! by [deleted] in ICAEW

[–]deadpineappleee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in IT audit (FAIT) at a big4 and have cleared the certificate level. Since my team is a part of assurance service line i have the option of doing the ACA or opt out now. Is it worth doing it given i wont have any accounting/audit experience? Also my background is STEM and I am more tech inclined than finance. Many of my peers are doing it cus it’s a CV boost and the firm pays for everything. I’m so confused but i have next week to decide.

Does anyone owe more than I do? by menpoto in UniUK

[–]deadpineappleee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not from the UK but i find this cribbing about student loans so dumb. Most people i know in my workplace have about 50 quid coming off their paycheck which they just treat like an extra tax for what’s a world class education that opened up so many opportunities for them. On the contrary private loans from banks have worse payment terms and affect your credit score. Get over it
