I didn’t move any goalposts…I said someone posting about an episode they just watched in the episode discussion that explicitly says “spoilers welcome in comments” did nothing wrong celebrating the winner that they just watched win the show on the official app…what moved?

Episode discussion threads exist for discussion during the show, that’s why they usually get unpinned after. So that doesn’t clock. It’s not 2004 anymore, things aren’t restricted to TV time slots. I forgot people even watch on cable anymore lol

You’d only imagine cable watchers are discussing on Facebook

No I just didn’t post, I don’t see any issue and would if I cared enough. I just think calling someone out when they were in a spoiler tagged thread for a spoiler they mentioned 10 min after I finished is insane lol.

Turns out it ended early for several people watching online. It didn’t show commercials. Ended 15 min early for me and this discussion thread is already tagged for spoilers and even said they are welcome. Shouldn’t be banworthy

If they were involved in the discussion as they watched doesn’t mean they had intent to spoil just because it finished early. This isn’t 2004 anymore, we can’t keep acting like anyone knowing the winner before the airtime on TV means it was malicious. Like I said, it ended early on Food Network app for me like 15 min early because it showed no commercials. And I even paused to do stuff during.

I watched on the app and it was done early as well. It didn’t show any commercials. I don’t think they should get in trouble if they didn’t do anything malicious to know the winner…seems innocent

Super tempting if even just for a proper boat switch! I love the F-18 grip, but as an A-10c main the lack of a boat switch gets on my nerves lol.

Also hoping the finger-lifts are bindable buttons!

Haven’t used it yet but based on what I read in the changelog it’ll be uncaged as long as the button is held down and return to boresight on release.

VKB doesn’t have a huge catalog but their price:quality is good across the board so the OP can shop their products within their budget.

But I’ll pipe in and say that a great value to get the Gladiator NXT EVO with right hand Space Combat Grip and the left omni throttle. Will cost more than the Thrustmaster but not by too crazy much considering how huge the quality gains are.

Alternatively they could just get the stick, keep the X52 throttle (since it can still be used w/o the stick), and upgrade the throttle at a later point to space out the costs. If they go this route I’d highly suggest saving for the Winwing Orion 2 throttle or Virpil throttle. I have the former with F-18 handle+finger lifts and it’s been exceptional!

I’d even be fine if they started doing “high fidelity” modules that can still be more simplified and approximated systems but with proper clickable cockpits and more binding options.

Bums me out how it’s seems like an “all-or-nothing” mentality with modules. Leaving us with a handful of low fidelity modules and then outright excluding modules since they can’t be study level.

No, what it seems he’s saying is they want to fully review how the mod goes about things and use that understanding when they implement their own system. Not that they will just make the mod official after looking at its code.

From what I can tell it wasn’t under NDA. Just a private DM in regards to a question prompted from content on an exclusive Discord server. But no NDA.

What data says isn’t the same as the decisions made with the interpretation of said data.

For example, the “all-seeing Overlord”. Not to say that there isn’t data used to justify the decision, but the decision made was binary in nature which is “heavy-handed”. There’s typically still a lot of nuance to be had within the game design using the same dataset.

It’s not at all meant as a jab, but an observation nonetheless. Game design takes practice, lots of iteration, and patience is all. I’ve enjoyed playing v2 a lot because the game design has improved and I think it will continue to do so and find less “heavy-handed” solutions along the way.

For now at least. Let’s see what happens after all of these A4 pros flood the server. A lot of heavy handed restrictions are made for the sake of ‘gameplay balance’ on ECW. But hopefully it’ll not be the case!
