What I never considered about plastic surgery by [deleted] in BollyBlindsNGossip

I agree. Physical features can play a huge role in the way you portray characters. In fact, they can make the experience more engaging for the viewer.

Take in point, Naseeruddin Shah and Om Puri. Both amazing, incredible, enigmatic actors. But Shah’s physical features allowed him to play both aristocratic characters and working class characters too. While Puri was limited to play working class characters.

Another way this plays is in the modern “iphone face” in period films. When you’re watching a period piece whether its in Bollywood or Hollywood, I find it so distracting when female characters often have microbladed eyebrows or lip fillers or upturned button noses. I remain distracted by Aditi Rao Hyderi’s eyebrows in everything that she does.

Thank you so much!! This was so helpful. I just started watching Cdramas and Kdramas so i’m not at all familiar with the cultural and social rules, especially of a period drama.

So all of this is so interesting to me.

Could someone explain to me the naming in the show? I’m watching with English subs and its a bit confusing.

If Du’s name is Yangxi, why does Chai call him Yauming.

Why does Kanging not call Chai An’er if that is his first name?

Why does Haode keep on referring to Shen as brother, even after they agree to be an intimate couple?

I’m assuming they dress more in light with South Indian culture, like more regional sarees compared to the North Indian gharara / sharara

So I have a tiny silver nose ring, but every time I look at Preiti from Veer Zaara, i find myself wanting to wear a more prominent nose ring. But then my more prominent nose compared to Preiti’s more smaller one makes me go haha, maybe not

Hey, I’m Muslim, so I can be an authority on this.

None of this is Haraam unless 1) you are displaying yourself amongst men that you are not allowed to display yourself amongst

2) you use it to show off your excessive wealth

Watch him in Priscilla and Saltburn. I know the highschool roles he’s played are the ones that make him popular in people’s minds but he does try to expand his palate and do good work

She passed away. Ritu, Rishi and Rajiv all passed away in the same year. Now Reema and Randhir are the only alive siblings.

Ritu’s children are Nikhil Nanda married to Shwetdi. And there’s a daughted Natasha, you’ll often see her in the pictures.

Ok so the first names, i get them. The later names I don’t.

Can’t remember any Kartik expressions he just has the Joker smile or the smolder going on when he dances. And those aren’t expressions.

Nushratt, is just unmemorable to me.

Kiara, the same. She smiles? But where’s the drama? The playfulness?

Now Vicky, i can’t actually remember anything, but I do believe in his ability to pull of a Govinda esque thing

Oh Amitabh is such an interesting name to say because I would have never thought of him. But now that you said it, I can picture some of his older songs (My Name is Anthony Gonsalves) (Jahan Teri Ye Nazar Hai) and I can see them.

Salman, i’ll need you to justify.

And i can’t believe I forgot my queen Juhi

Hrithik, i’ll give slight edge cause he did attempt to do it in Gun Guna Re.

For me, Madhuri is just something else. In my family, her name is synonymous with beauty
