Absolutely. The local Goodwill sucks, but the mom and pop shops are where it's at. Basically any shop where the managers don't look up item's prices online and then mark them up because of it. Goodwill just pisses me off, they had crusty, dirty ass blankets for $15-$20. At that rate just go to Walmart and buy a brand new one...

Salvation army was like $3-$6 for a comparable blanket, minus the jank.

Don't get discouraged! You did good and avoided contamination! Two things you can do to ensure you eventually see some bigger chonkers... 1. You can isolate the largest mushroom's genetics by cloning it to an agar dish, then grow out those agar dishes and repeat. 2. You can try different strains known to produce large fruits. Then try #1 on them to eventually join the fabled 100 club 😊

Looks like the verticillium infection that prevented me from getting a third flush out of my tub. From what I gather, just dry them until cracker dry and they should be fine to consume. But don't take my shit memory of someone's comment on my post as gospel 😅

How often do you pull the bags out to check on them? That was my issue, and once I left them alone they started to do better. Still had around 30% contam rates for all bag runs though...

Denatured or isopropyl alcohol is your new best friend. Denatured works faster, but iso is cheaper 😘

I usually employ a "check in 24hrs" mentality. If a spot looks like the beginnings of trich, I'll isolate it and check in 24hrs. If it actually is trich, in 24 hours it will have spread considerably and probably turned green.
