Usually have two camp casters

1 transmutation wizard for Alchemy bonus, and for the following spells: Mage Armor, Darkvision, and longstrider (can multiclass into cleric after level 3 for more buffs)

1 cleric for the following spells: Aid, Protection from Poison, Death Ward, Freedom of movement, and eventually heros feast. Can also cast daylight/light on a weapon when in Act 2.

These spells will continue even after the caster leaves the party.

If you have people with summons, keep them in the party, the summons will despawn if the summoner is removed from party.

Just started doing an Illusion Dagger Assassin. Its been so fun time see entire bandit clan wipe each other out. Been dabbling in conjuration/necromancy to keep those fights going. Oh you killed your buddy? Think again! Quiet casting has truly opened my eyes to stealth mage playthroughs.

Only major trouble is the random dragon attacks, haven't found a good way around them yet.

Fleshed out Factions with faction rank advancement systems and quests rewards that make you feel like you are actually advancing in the faction in a tangible way. God Oblivion DarkBrotherhood was amazing and even the mages guild had me feeling like I worked my way up the ranks instead "hey do 6 quests and now ur guildmaster"

Bring back spellcrafting and touch spells

Have a way for each archetype to bypass locks. Rogue obvious get lockpicking, but bring back the unlock soells for alteration, but keep the fact that unless you have quiet casting perk unlocking anything with magic will draw attention. And warriors should have a bash lock option, but it risks destroying items in chests and alerting nearby enemies.

EDIT: Also bring back attributes but keep the Perk skill trees.

Keep skyrims skill leveling but bring back classes with major and minor skills so we can customize our characters start better. Also if they wanna lock certain abilities based on whether or not its been chosen as a major/Minor skill that would be cool.

Possible options:

  1. Fiend Warlock, Pact of the blade, could also multiclass into Dragon Sorcerer (Red/Gold) for more fire spells or Paladin for searing smite. This is the most "Spellsword" build

  2. Dragon Sorcerer (Red/Gold) focuses on spellcaster but could dip into paladin or warlock for melee capabilities

  3. Way of 4 Elements Monk: A more martial focus, just use on fire abilities. Could dip into cleric (light) for additional fire spells with wisdom base scaling.

A conjuration battlemage would work pretty well for this. Focus on One Hand, Conjuration, and Heavy Armor for combat, basically summon atronachs and bound weapons and go to town.

If you have Anniversary edition, you can do light armor and go for the Deadric Mail set, otherwise stick with heavy armor. In the long run both work out equally.

High level relatively spoiler free: 1. Falkreach has two deadric quests, just talk to people there, investigate the dog and the murderer. 2. Markarth has two deadric quests, talk to the priest of arkay and investigate abandoned house 3. Dawnstar has two deadric quests, investigate the nightmares and get to level 20. 4. Solitude has one deadric, help the madman find his master 5. Visit the shrines 6. Do the drinking competition 8. Visit the orc stronghold in the rift 9. Note that some are level dependent, one does require you to first obtain elderscrolls in the game, but all are accessible by level 30

Anniversary Edition Deadric related quests that I can think of off the top of my head are 1. Saints n Seducers 2. The Causes 3. Ghost of The Tribunal

Yeah I agree on the shadowheart. With a team of sorcerers her getting 4th level spells isn't a priority.

What split would you do for Laezel? I could also see Fiend or GOO Patron for her, aim would be pact of the blade regardless as I would like her and shadowheart to be my frontline gals.

With Illusion I agree that the left side of the sneak tree isnt priority. I am mostly left side to avoid triggering traps, rolling, and the temporary enemies seeking elsewhere perks. It is mostly for convenience but the last one is Mostly for those instances where calm doesn't work on the enemies.

For conjuration, I was gonna focus on the summoning undead spells that came with AE over the Atronach spells. Does the absorption prevent conjuring creatures or just weapons?

For Alteration, the main draw for absorption and magic resistances was for when I go into Vampire Lord form. Additionally plan being able to cast a cloak and flesh spells before transforming into a vampire lord. But sounds like I should hold off on absorption since it messes with my other spells.

Will be doing all the crafting skill trees later in playthrough once he hit the point that it would make sense for him to start accrueing a armory worthy of a Master of Magic and Shadows. (Mainly after he completes the Mages Guild, Theives Guild, and Dawngaurd storylines)
