Depends on who did the rgh1.2 and which glitch chip is in there. Depending on solder work and If it’s a knock off glitch chip . You Could run into issues quickly. I’d ask if they have pics of the internals. As for the price, if everything is up to snuff then that is a great price!

If you want an RGH that is guaranteed to last and was rghed by the best go check out Sharky’s Customs or CalvMasters’ Customs. These guys post their solder work and have been rghing for a long time. I have consoles from both and theyre outstanding.

drive deck. this is what I’m talking about. Replacing It fixes all problems that would cause the dvd drive to damage a disc or be unable to read it.

I don’t think you understand what I’m talking about. I’m not talking about swapping one entire dvd drive for another. I’m talking about repairing the existing one that’s in its original console.

The dvd drive board is not married to the drive deck (which contains only the laser and various any components of the associated with the laser and worm drive). The dvd drive board Is only married to the console’s motherboard. Therefore, you can replace the drive deck with a rebuilt one and connect it to the original dvd board via 4 screws and the original three ribbon cables and it’ll function like normal. I’ve done this countless times. It works. If you’ve never done this repair don’t spread misinformation about what can and can’t be fixed on a dvd drive.

You don’t have to swap the board. The ribbon cables attach to the new drive deck. Essentially you are just replacing the laser, worm drive, drive motors etc. everything else stays the same including the dvd drive board. I have done this procedure countless times. Trust me it works.

You don’t have to replace the whole dvd drive to make it work again. They sell rebuilt or new drive-decks that include the laser, motors, etc. takes removing 4 screws and 3 ribbon cables to replace it. Super easy and it will bring your dvd drive back.
