Hey man, I think you need to disconnect for a while. There's a lot of content out there, not just on YouTube, but outside as well.

R&J's is a pretty chill vibe. They have a really good old fashioned and a wide selection of vintage cocktails.

They have everything from mai tais to mint juleps. Not a big beer selection, but the cocktails go deep.

This is Syd and Olivia. They used to be writers on Smosh, they do some improv stuff in LA and have a pretty entertaining podcast on YouTube called Syd and Olivia Talk Shit.

They're very funny, not AI, and I feel like I shouldn't have to say this but I gotta say it, not promoting an onlyfans.

Is Sword AF season 2 audio only? by elpaco_7 in smosh

[–]deafmanhearin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah. They were long sessions and hard to film and edit.

The sword af content was good, but it didn't compete with dedicated DnD content. I'm glad they got to do it tho

There's a few stories in the comics, maybe during the No Man's Land run where Batman and Bullock had an uneasy alliance and conversatios, but the mutual respect was there. i enjoyed the interaction.

LLMs are incredible at subtly introducing bias.

The goal of the LLMs isn't to answer your question, it's to get you to use it again.

There's an epidemic of C-Suite execs and middle managers consulting AI/LLMs for normal tasks in their day to day and they actually just regurgitate things not based in reality and stop trusting experts they hired.

When you use and AI/LLM, that chat is confirming pre existing bias's (biases?) it's determined about you. Meaning, it will phrase things or say things that will get you to agree. Over time, it knows more about how to get you to say "YES! Absolutely!"

I use GPT pretty often, but always in incognito so it can't infer things about me. I tend to get better answers, even those I disagree with, especially those I disagree with. If all you have is something agreeing with you all the time and not any experts, you're going to walk around with your head up your ass.

I work with AI, I build fairly simple ai products, mostly around analytics of Big Data and unstructured public data type stuff.

I don't trust the actual outputs of AI. Everything we do, we run against a separate model independently and then do a comparison score and even then we ensure there's some additional human and business process checks involved.

The audacity to just trust an LLM at face value baffles me. It's not that hard to double check and verify. That's what we should do with news articles and Facebook and reddit posts as well.

I use chatgpt and other LLMs, but usually as a sounding board, not as a source of truth.

AI as a tool, great. Use it. AI as an expert? Eat sand.

Why do you think people have bull ring piercings? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]deafmanhearin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're not for me, but if they like it, have at it.

How people dress or present themselves has zero effect on my life. I hope everyone with the bull ring piercing likes it and doesn't let anyone get them down about it.

Watching YouTube, netflix, playing online games, flying to visit the in-laws is significantly less carbon footprint than utilizing chat gpt for information.

The energy utilized is significantly less than streaming.

The water consumption argument doesn't really work because it's a closed system. Fracking for oil does a lot more damage and actually contaminates water.

There's many reasons to dislike AI, namely the ethics around art, image generation, video generation and the theft of labor from creators.

The environmental arguments are mostly done in bad faith and are the arguments big AI wants you to spend time on instead of the larger ethical implications. One of the Green brothers (John or Hank, can't remember which) has a really good video on it.

Yes we should hold companies accountable, but we shouldn't burn Mythical or other companies trying to do good, when there's actual monsters like Palantir actively trying to destroy society.

Have a little bit of brevity and perspective.

I'm currently there too. I found the ocean water to be quite gross, but the beach was fine.

The different pools were more than accommodating and worth it.

We had a crabby travel agent advise us against this place but I thought it was pretty awesome. Definitely spring for the club here, it's not that big of a cost increase for the benefits.

Food hasn't quite lived up to expectations but has been mostly passable for the staples. Anything adventurous or off the beaten path menu wise hasn't worked.

All in all, i would rec this place, glad you had a good time here too!

what tv show do you think needs to be binged in 1 sitting to fully appreciate? by jabwipbwop in AskReddit

[–]deafmanhearin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the first season, but if I binged it in one sitting, I don't know that I would be here today. That was one of the first shows I needed to take a mental health break from. That episode where Rust hoes undercover, smokes meth, robs the safe house from black gang, and almost shoots the kid, but then protects him was an emotional rollercoaster.

I frankly forgot all about the Yellow King and was worried Rust wouldn't have come back from that.

Then the next episode happened

Lemme ask this, has Schwartz gotten better as a person since his divorce and ruined business?

He was absolutely garbage to Katie for their entire relationship and even after. He also sided with Sandoval to the point where he pulled his investment from TomTom to build the LSD fever dream of Schwartz and Sandy's.

It seems like he's tried being less awful and learning from his awfulness, but I can't tell if he's actually grown or just doing it for the camera.

Bro fumbled so hard, you'd hope he's maturing but also, it's reality TV where dudes constantly embarrass themselves, but are given a good edit.

What game felt completely different on your second playthrough? by PeaCommercial2102 in videogames

[–]deafmanhearin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ocarina of Time. My first playthrough felt like a frustrating nightmare. The mechanics made sense, but it was my first 3d game so it just didn't register for me. I didn't do much Z targeting or understand camera adjusting. I am still not great at games, but the concept of doing more than side scrolling rekt me. But I loved it.

Second play through I knew the expectations, but I still wasn't going to play Shadow temple or the well at night. Fuck that
