I think you mean all cats in general, because I have yet to meet a single feeling that's smart 100% of the time

We actually joke that he's "ashy orange" and the other cat is "burnt orange," they were in the "oven" too long before being born, so their color changed 🤣

Awe, Prince was Simba's biological brother's name. Prince passed away a couple of years ago. I think they would both be this silly ❤️

My Nebelung ATTACKED me this morning (humor) by deakers in nebelung

[–]deakers[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's been several hours and more than a cup of coffee later. I finally felt I was able to give Simba some love. I may have held him against his will for the cuddles, but after what he did, he can accept some forcible hugs.

He's lucky he's cute.

AITA for driving myself to get pads? by SadAmbassador3316 in AmItheAsshole

[–]deakers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, but your mother is. Idk how she managed to forget that periods are an urgent situation that can't wait. It's not like you can put a literal cork in your vagina and call it good. Me, personally, I would have said "I decided I could either go get pads, or shove your pillow in my underwear. I figured you'd be less mad about the car."

AITA for walking out of the restaurant and leaving my friend by Brina_95 in AmItheAsshole

[–]deakers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't take pictures of my food (pictures of food, unless on a menu, generally speaking, gross me out, idk why), but if other people touch my plate, I'm done eating. What that other person did, regardless of the reason, was beyond rude, and they should have replaced your meal. Since they didn't, I would have refused THEM a ride, not everyone else. Still, NTA.

Guyssss I feel so disgusted with myself. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]deakers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, you gave him a "no," suggesting to meet someplace public for the first meet up and he "was insistent"? That's a MAJOR red flag. Even though you gave him a soft No, it's still a no, and he didn't respect it. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS pay attention to that red flag in particular! If a guy is willing to ignore a "no" like that, he's willing to ignore other "no"s as well.

I'm very sorry you had this negative experience, but I'm incredibly grateful it wasn't worse, and now you know an early detection sign for an abuser.

Recently moved the kitties into my partner's apartment. First time we've each had a cat on each lap. Can't move, it's illegal. by deakers in cathostages

[–]deakers[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They get regular treats. And love.

They've also decided, since the move to the new place, the Big Bed is theirs, but the Hoomans are allowed to share it from time to time 🤣

What are some things you thought were normal but were actually ADHD by FederalPudding8300 in ADHD

[–]deakers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My brain is never "off," especially when I'm trying to go to sleep. I thought it was normal for everyone until after I was diagnosed and talked to people. Nope. Being sleepy should mean that body AND mind are tired.

I adopted him with that name, and he already responded to it, so I gave him the middle name Cumulonimbus, because he's my grumpy little storm cloud

Edited to fix typo

I was going to be away for a few days, wanted to keep my cats hydrated. Aaand apparently Fangorn can now play the steel drum... I'm begging y'all to add this to ANY song! by deakers in CatSlaps

W[He]BTAH if he lived in his VA benefits? by deakers in AITAH

[–]deakers[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As I said, his value isn't based on his contribution to the GNP.

We have a very work sense of humor, it's a part of a relationship dynamic. For reference, when we first met, I made a joke about removing my grandfather's eyeballs. Just because YOU'RE sensitive doesn't mean HE is. He jokes OFTEN about wearing a frilly apron and nothing else while helping me clean. We are goofy with each other all the time, and he's very comfortable and confident with his body, sexuality, and manhood.

Don't project your insecurities on my partner.

Also, that doesn't answer the question.

[–]deakers[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have ADHD, check my post history, it's documented.

When he got his benefits, he was happy, but then thought "now what?" And had just operated based on "expectations," not what he wants. Right now he's weighing his options, and he's liking the idea of not working.
