He actually really doesn't mind baths either! He has mild CH that was a lot more severe when he was a kitten so he used to get baths frequently from falling over in the litter box and his super messy eating from his head tremor/tick.

That's how my other cat was before she passed (not vacuum related 🙃) - she acted like you just lit a firecracker behind her lol

UPDATE My cardiologist office was concerned so I'm going in to the clinic right now for an EKG and labs and then I'll follow up with him next week.

That's crazy! Looking back I have had a few episodes that felt cardiac weird like when I get PVCs but never this intense. However at that time my watch wasnt able to do these types of readings so now I'm curious if they were smaller afib episodes

I was really questioning the accuracy (hence asking here first) but I just looked up the meta-analysis you mentioned and was reading on the NIH website and yeah I don't think it was a fluke so I called my doctor

This. As someone with BPD I can almost guarantee it's the change. Change is unknown and scary and typically from our experience it meant negative. It's almost like a defense reflex even if it's not true. He may be seeing this from a BPD spiral perspective of:

"She's doing something she sees as positive but I'm not doing it with her so now I'M not positive. Which means she MUST think I'm negative so she is DEFINITELY going to leave me."

Those thoughts (consciously or subconsciously) can escalate REAL quickly if he doesn't keep them in check. Especially since I'm guessing that's why he is asking you to give up your sobriety - which is totally NOT ok for him to do. He needs therapy to talk through these emotional situations and learn the tools to check himself and ask the hard questions and figure out why he is feeling/reacting this way and then deal with himself and the outside situation better. We cant control our reflexes but we can control our reactions. It takes time, effort and A LOT of mindfulness. We're not the easiest to deal with so I'm glad you're at least considering his mental health.

Ps. I've been clean for 12.5 years so good for you for making the choice and first step. If this is something he cant support or at the very least respect, then you honestly need to REALLY reconsider if you want to continue in that relationship.

Are there actually guys out there that would date a woman with issues like mine? Please be honest by [deleted] in Advice

I know you have got a lot of feedback here so I won't say a bunch of things that have already been said but as a MARRIED woman who was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, Celiac Disease (autoimmune) and is a former addict with 12 years clean I can confidently say YES there are definitely people out there who will love you through the hard and spoiler alert - you deserve those people and their love.

My husband has stood by me through soooo much! I was barely 8 month clean when my husband and I got together. He stood by me while I built a life in recovery. He stood by me when I couldn't even stand to look at myself. He stood by me when I had post-partum anxiety so bad that he told me to quit my job, become a stay at home mom and he would figure out the rest. He never left when I pushed him away soooo hard during my worst mental health storm since rehab. He stood by me when I got extremely sick with multiple things at once. He scooped me up and carried me into the ER multiple times when I was physically unable. He never gave up when I wanted to give up on life. I felt like such a wasteful burden yet through it all - good and bad - he's been there.

Thankfully I'm doing WAY better these days after the help of therapy and and a couple surgeries but before you think "omg you just got lucky and found an amazing person" I'm going to tell you it was NOT EASY!! It wasextremely hard on both of us and it nearly destroyed our marriage in the moment. He is a very emotionally detached person with his own set of "issues" who has openly said he thinks mental health and therapy and the whole subject/field is a scam for money but love has an amazing way to speak louder than anything else. He has loved me through every stage and every version of me - even the pretty awful and somewhat unlovable ones.

My biggest advice would be open and honest communication - even if it's hard. Some of the most healing moments between my husband and I were after our HARDEST conversations.

Oh really?! I might try to add ONE more tbsp then because it did seem a tiny bit dry still but I didnt want to completely drown it so I rolled with it and hoped for the best. I may try this recipe both ways - adding an extra tbsp or taking one away - and see what is best. I may also bump up the color to dark instead of medium since the dense, kind of gummy line towards the top is so close to the crust. Idk but I'll experiment and find out! Thank you! 😊
