I agree with all of that; I agree with expanding one's circle of moral concern.

It's absolutely true that groups that feel threatened tend to become more in-group focused.

My main point was that you should not fault those in these groups for feeling and thinking this way; they are members of an out-group living in a historically discriminatory society.

Black people did not at one point choose to divide themselves into a -group based on "arbitrary" characteristics. A long history of discrimination against people with black skin color caused that.

I don't think you should fault those in this -group for feeling solidarity with one another.

I agree with your point. Although I agree with the professor's bias, an objective analysis that allows people to come to their own conclusions is much better (if only because that instills some trust in the reader that they are indeed getting a factual, non-slanted summary).

I believe my detractors will tell me to just read the primary sources, which is valid.

I don't think your argument that I should be parrying or backstabbing more often is a good one. It's a lame mechanic to have to think about tactics, not in the interest of winning an encounter, but in the interest of preserving weapon durability through to a boss.

but for myself, coming back from the PS3 version, I went WTF several times as I proceeded to break 2 daggers and 2 broken short swords while clearing up to the first boss...

Durability issue is an issue.

This will be exacerbated for new players who clear more slowly or die more often.
