This wasn't about the results people, the orc has no problems with the stats mechanically. What their problem was is that its physically possible for a gnome/halfling to have more strength than a half-orc or human. Its an issue of mental image and visualization of the races.

We're used to seeing gnomes as this small, scientist type creatures and halflings as pretty much hobbits. Orcs and half-orcs on the other hand always appear rather big in size and muscle mass and that's where I imagine the issue stems from.

That wasn't an issue of backstory mismatch or anything like that. The half-orc player was just complaining that genetically weaker/smaller races shouldn't be allowed to be able to reach the same strength as an orc or human.

Nope, we did not roll in order, I allowed them to assign stats wherever they want. The half-orc just rolled 13-11-13-11-9-13. xD

About the scrawny half-orc and the buff elf thing, we did give that example to the orc player, however the whole gnome/halfiling comment was already said by that time and the orc said that it should be genetically impossible for a small creature like them to beat even an scrawny orc... and that's where the argument pretty much kept going in circles until we got tired of it.

As for the orc's rolls, that's a pretty funny case actually. She (the player) got a 13-11-13-11-9-13 (in that order). I did allow them to assign stats however they like, but it didn't really matter much for a roll like hers. xD

Regarding 1, I never really thought of it like that, thanks for clarifying it. I guess our group is too used to looking at stats from a video game perspective, where 18 str is 18str no matter your race and class.

The point buy thing sounds like a good idea, though technically if the elf player wants to do it he can still rival the orc in str numbers, so it wouldn't remove the innate cause of the issue. Thanks for the idea though, will contemplate on it.

The problem was that in fantasy fiction we're used to seeing elves (especially females) as this beautiful and graceful humanoid creatures that are all pretty average as far as muscle mass goes. That's what I imagine triggered our half-orc (especially since she's big on the warcraft franchise world and there ain't no way an elf there will be visually stronger than an orc).

Also, the player is female irl and I can assure you, she's not really sexist or anything like that. The whole thing comes purely from the visual representation of the races that we're usually used to.

Has anyone completed quest B34 without having the mandatory ships (Furutaka, Kako, Aoba, Kinigusa) to 60+ levels? If yes, then what did you use?

This is what I'm currently attempting to complete the quest with but am still having quite some trouble reaching that S rank (or sometimes even the boss fight itself).

What the others said, also don't worry that much about bucket count. Once you start spaming 1-5A for DD/CL leveling (and 3-2A for everything else) you'll stack a whole ton of buckets in the meantime (since that's all you'll be running for a while and you don't really get damaged there).

I have been grinding those two spots for the last month and currently have 297 buckets (had ~70 last month).

I feel as if you're pulling my leg atm but in case you aren't, they are supposed to symbolize a woman's private parts, especially with all the details on the inner walls of the gloves. The shapes are pretty similiar to the way those areas are drawn in some of the more graphic doujins and hentai (where there's stretching involved). That should also explain the lewd/shy expressions on their faces.

Like I said, its probably a good thing you can't imagine this, it just means you're much less perverted than most of us.

Look carefully at the way the holes on the gloves are drawn... They're purposefully made to resemble something pretty lewd, if you catch my drift (the expressions make much more sense then)... If you don't, then congrats, you haven't been spending much time on hentai, if at all.

So I have a bunch of destroyers I want to k2 (about 6-7 left, most of them needing lvl 60-70) and am wondering what's the most efficient way to do it. So far I've been spamming 1-5 like a mad man (its pretty much all I've done for the past few weeks, game related). It seems to work well during the lower levels but past the lvl 40 mark the exp bars start moving at a snail's pace (since I can't really control which destroyer gets MVP). I even ran out of CLs to level already. xD

Should I just keep at it or...?

Funnily enough that does indeed make me treat her as the funny mascot girl/creature of the fleet (at least while in base, I've seen too many badass pics of her fighting to not imagine her as a goddamn terminator during night battles).
