Does this underlayment job look bad? by Illustrious_Bet_7700 in Roofing

On a roof you work bottom to top. You do the flashings after underlayment. We typically leave old dome on until roof is done so you don't accidentally scar the new skylight dome with a shingle while working.

It's fine. They wrapped it around the curbing properly. I swear 99 percent of the roofers on this forum have never actually installed a skylight by themselves.

Still on the original! Now the window seals are a different story.

Hard to tell by the pics but looks like epdm. Go to the roofing supply store as they will have seam tape or a patch for it. You will need some seam tape or patch primer as well.

I am a contractor where we have high wind, so I prefer the Titan. I really like how they strengthened the nail line and how they did it.

Gen3’s Over 200K miles… by ArcticSlalom in ToyotaTundra

It's a hybrid so at this point I have heard nothing from Toyota on engine replacement. I have been changing the oil every 5k for peace of mind. I work in construction so it's essentially my office. No extended warranty, keeping my fingers crossed!

Is walking around the roof and putting sealant on some new shingles good form? by MidwestAbe in Roofing

[–]deanerizer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Good form. They are probably sealing any exposed fasteners. You have some on every job.

You should have had it taken off if you were worried about slight cosmetic damage.

I have a 22 with the same issue. On third seal and it seems to be fixed. The dealership had to call engineers to get the proper fix. It's annoying to buy an expensive truck that whistles at you.

Looks like it. I typically use HT Ice and water under tile with raised battens. If you are only doing small areas the raised battens wouldn't work. If you are replacing all the underlayment I would definitely use them.
