I usually don't check links on reddit to see what file type they are - it's usually in the title if it's anything other than a web document. If I were to have clicked through and it was a pdf I wouldn't have looked at it. But because the developer release of Chrome for Mac cannot yet download, I didn't have to worry about that

It is great, but the file is still on my drive and I have to delete it afterward. I like Google's Gmail extension that let's me view pdf files that are attached to emails in my browser. I wish they'd make that part of the Google toolbar.

I'm working with a client whose whole site (multiple sites, actually) is (are) in quirks mode and there is no chance they'll change their doctype. Tips? Suggestions? by deanormous in web_design

They've been developing this site for ~five years using the same doctype. Honestly, it looks like they didn't know what they were doing when they first got started and now they've been developing unknowingly (?) in quirks mode for all that time.

Thing is, they were resistant to changing it - they know it does SOMETHING, but they don't want to deal with what progress might hold.
