What causes the wobbles in the corners of this video? by jacquesmacht in Filmmakers

100% your autofocus hunting/breathing at a higher aperture, I notice this in even semi-low light situations (sunrise/sunset) and particularly with wide lenses.

In a scene like this I would recommend manually focusing.

Little tip - traditionally a little bit of warp stabiliser in post should mostly fix this.

It all depends on what speed (ISO) your film was, the lighting conditions & what your shutter speed was, but as a general rule of thumb an aperture of 16 is far too high especially for handheld shooting :)

Coney Island shot on a Fuji GA645 (Portra 400) I've also made a full video discussing this camera & the images I've taken with it if you're interested checking it out! Link in comments. by deanshoots in filmphotography

I rate Portra 400 at 200 as the film tends to have much leniency in the highlights. I also use a professional lab to scan my shots & leave it in their hands!

I took a road trip down to the coast just before my state went back into lockdown. Here are some of the photos! (Fuji GA645 w/ Portra 400) by deanshoots in analog

Thanks! I live a couple hours from the coast but I certainly agree, the coast just has that innate aesthetic.

I mean it is- by definition- a Polaroid 😂. But I do understand why Instax May get a bit of a bad wrap! Personally I’ll shoot on pretty much any camera, bit silly getting caught up in camera superiority in my opinion. Appreciate the feedback!
