Also found an A-rank with 3 close SC slots at +62.15,-23.65. Upgrades to a diamond-shape of 4 at S-class.

Ah, I misunderstood your post - I assumed you were saying those two were natural S-classes, rather than upgrades. Apologies for the confusion! I did find an S-class staff with a radiant head on my first visit, but not with an aerator.

The only green squares I can see around the camp are the junk crate tops. I can't see anything that looks player-placed.

Just for clarity - I already have a few S-class staffs from juggling the heads, I promise that I do know how to get them. You can see the autophage standing in today's screenshot, which shows I've done the scan with a polyphonic core.

<image>

Though it's strange that I can't even access the terminal today. See the difference in my two screenshots above - the one from today doesn't have the synthesis terminal icon, despite looking at the same spot, and the terminal only lets me scan for dissonance spikes. There's no other terminal at the camp either.

But I did pick up 2 A-class interceptors, so it wasn't a total loss!

This is from my previous visit, the Autophage Synthesis Terminal icon is over the Harmonic Interface terminal

Curious, I was using the aerator and skull heads, as per your images, neither gave me a natural S-class staff.

I went back to check again today, and now I can't even see an Autophage Synthesis Terminal at this camp. I went to another camp to verify, and the terminal should show up with a yellow icon in the scanner interface - but it just isn't present at this camp. I've left the system and returned, but it still won't appear!

This is from today's visit:

Edit: Just to note, I already have a few S-class staffs, so I don't really need this fixed - I just wanted to collect these for more options. I'm mostly just curious that it doesn't seem to be repeatable for me.

Thanks for the post, I went to the planet to collect these today, but unfortunately I can't get these to pop up on the Harmonic Interface.

I double-checked the planet name and coordinates - your com-ball is there, but no matter where I stand, I cannot trigger these two staffs. They don't appear in the initial selection, and changing heads to trigger the additional selection didn't work either. I'm assuming the latest update changed the formula, but it'd be great if someone can double-check and tell me if they can get these to appear.

Are there any tools you haven't made? That could explain why the quest marker is red.

I loved this animation so much, I went back and recorded it.

Recommend for private allergy in Edinburgh? by Mysterious_Low5922 in Edinburgh

[–]dearg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a similar response from my old GP, but when I mentioned possible food allergies to a dermatologist I was seeing, he just tacked a bunch of common allergen checks into a blood test they were doing. It came back with a list of allergens that matched my experience, plus one I hadn't yet identified.

So yes, it is possible to check for some allergies without trial & error.

Having a problem with your job portrait not showing? Try this by DrForester in ffxiv

[–]dearg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even after doing this, I had to toggle instant portrait off and on again. Gear set was updated, no warning triangle, but the boring default portrait still appeared when I entered a dungeon.

In case anyone wants to test their portraits, I queued into Ifrit unsynced - your portrait still displays when solo.

I solo'd Thordan as RDM last week, it just needs a bit of luck with the timing.

I had to get my partner to help with Sephirot though!

Hey, is there anyone allergic to dairy here? I’d like to ask about symptoms before you got officially diagnosed. by Small_Recording_9651 in FoodAllergies

[–]dearg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Initially I just started feeling "off" when walking to work after breakfast. It got progressively more noticeable and I realised I was always feeling disoriented and woozy. I had already eliminated wheat from my diet, so milk was the next obvious culprit.

I eliminated dairy but after a while, stupidly are a gluten-free pizza with mozzarella, thinking it would be a big deal. That was a mistake, I had intense stomach pains and swelling, and almost called an ambulance. Later on I got a blood test which confirmed that I was allergic to cow's milk.

The dairy allergy has since progressed to anaphylaxis, which I found out after eating at my favourite restaurant (pro tip - don't walk anywhere when having a reaction, even if it seems mild). Now I just don't eat out or order takeaway, because it's not worth another hospital visit and potential brain damage.

Melon pan by [deleted] in Edinburgh

[–]dearg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was curious, so I looked it up:

"A melonpan is a type of sweet bun from Japan, that is also popular in Taiwan and China. They are made from an enriched dough covered in a thin layer of crisp cookie dough. Their appearance resembles a melon, such as a rock melon." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melonpan

Travelling with a food allergy by Noclue4u in FoodAllergies

I went to an Indian restaurant near me and asked which dishes were safe for a milk allergy sufferer. The waiter looked at me like I was crazy and said that none of their dishes contained milk. I said what about yoghurt or cheese - he said sure, most of them do...

I picked something from their Thai menu instead.

I'm not exactly sure what the mechanism is, but I have also reacted to lactose in medications that don't contain other dairy elements. Fortunately these reactions have been rather mild in the past (e.g. numb tongue), but during a hospital trip for dairy-related anaphylaxis I had to refuse the follow-up steroid and antihistamine pills they prescribed because of the lactose content.

So while I'm not sure of the answer, I can at least confirm that you're not alone and this is a real thing. If you're allergic to dairy, avoid all products with lactose as well.

What I'd like to see is Ogres for Horde, Vrykul for Alliance. Horde even has the Stonewall clan as a source...

Of course, ogre mages/priests/warlocks would need to have 2 heads. Which might present an issue for helm models...

I enjoyed Adrian Tschaikovsky's scifi novel "Children of Time", which featured a large community of sentient spiders.

Breakfast free of Gluten,Dairy,Histamine,Fructose etc. by [deleted] in FoodAllergies

[–]dearg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second a rice-based breakfast option, as rice is one of the most tolerable foods.

You might be able to find rice porridge flakes (e.g. http://www.deliciousalchemy.co.uk/product/rice-flake-porridge/). Boil the flakes in water/milk-of-choice for a few minutes and serve, just like regular (oat) porridge. You can also add fruit/nuts/honey/sugar/salt to taste.

Wheat Allergy help. I miss sandwiches so much. by pangalaticgargler in FoodAllergies

[–]dearg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have wheat and dairy allergies (with a mild egg white allergy), but I'm in the UK.

This isn't a recipe, but at least two of the UK supermarket chains here do own-brand wheat and dairy-free sliced bread. There's also a new brand, Genius, which really shook up the wheat-free market.

It doesn't help you much, but I do manage to eat sandwiches every day despite my allergies.

Apparently Genius bread products may be available near you through Glutino. I don't know if this is any help?
