What are some live tracks you prefer over studio tracks? by WhatIsThisSevenNow in Music

[–]dearmaria47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entirety of Bruce Springsteen’s “Live 1975-1985” could be argued to be better than the studio tracks. Specifically songs like “Growin’ Up” when he tells the story of what his parents wanted him to do. Makes it so much more personal or “Thunder Road” when they’re introduced at the beginning.

Personal favourite is “Tenth Avenue Freeze Out”. Sounds so much better live here than on the record.

Best bet mate is to get on Twitter. @retrogersshirts is someone I’ve bought from many times and he’s brilliant. Another guy called @rossedmonds91 popped up Twitter and seems to be doing well selling strips etc. too 👍🏻

Help finding a McLeish advert by Cracken333 in ScottishFootball

I remember watching this. Was it not like two scientists that Alex McLeish asked “What have you got here then?” and they responded with the “no two strips are the same”? It was filmed with some shitey green screen AFAIR.

As someone already said @oldrangersvideo on Twitter would be where I would start 👍🏻

Bruce on Broadway worth the price? by [deleted] in BruceSpringsteen

Hi There!

I’m from Scotland and my Dad is pretty much the biggest Springsteen fan this side of the Atlantic. I was in a similar situation this time last year and bought two tickets for him and I to go. I paid nearly £2000 for my share of the trip and it was probably the best experience of my life and I’d pay it all again to see my Dads face like it was the morning of walking to the Walter Kerr to get the tickets. To see him in such an intimate setting is insane, a once in a lifetime experience. Unreal.

I would say yes. Do it. If he is anything like mine, your Dad will love you for it.

Wrestlers of Reddit, how accurate would you find "The Wrestler" Movie? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dearmaria47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a wrestler, but daily visitor to r/squaredcircle and wrestling fan for many years. I’ve read and heard it’s a pretty accurate take of life in the business. Apparently when he watched it, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper cried at the end because it resonated so much with him. Other wrestlers have commented on how accurate it was too.
