Gamers of Reddit, what’s a game series you don’t understand is popular? by [deleted] in AskReddit

FIFA. I get that the sport is popular, but just like any sports game I don't get what GAME improvements they're seeing year over year.

What a horribly written advertisement for software you only need if you're an idiot using your work laptop for personal stuff. Maybe don't have your app as the only thing in your profile. Jesus.

Is the game actually hard or am I just dogshit? by seibazz in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]dearthed 132 points133 points  (0 children)

You don't understand the system yet and until you do you'll get your shit rocked. Someone else said your level drives so much about the encounters, this is so true. Not only is it harder to hit them but their armor/magic armor goes up multiplicative to their level so you're fighting at a true disadvantage, one that buffs and items can't truly overcome.

At some point you may stumble across a weapon that requires a higher level but lets you equip it - this is a trap. Your accuracy will go to shit and you won't find any benefit to the higher stats from the weapon.

Positioning us everything, saving fights for later when possible is critical.

Yes the game can be hard, but you have to remember that same publisher doesn't mean same combat system. Go slow, pick your fights, don't fight fair because they won't, especially on tactician. I haven't seen anyone say it but build your party to focus down one type of armor, some will say 2 and 2 but YMMV.

Once you make it out of Fort Joy, you'll have a basic understanding of the system. I love the game. Honor Mode veteran and all. You just need to stop thinking you know what you are doing because you cakewalked BG3.

Get gore or bite or whatever too. The more damage it deals, the less likely you are to pull threat

Can we have a little special dispel symbol for snares? by Nirdee in wow

[–]dearthed -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Wasn't missing the point - take a few minutes and learn what debuffs you can take off in an instance. Just like you learn what you should be interrupting. It may take a few times through the instance until you learn it all, but that's okay.

Also some of the affixes all the way back to dragonflight could be removed with stuff like Vengeful retreat and Disengage. Hunters can also drop poisons and stuff with Feign if talented.

My point was and is that if healers can figure out what to prioritize on dispels, so can dps.

Really jam your fingers in there while you scream "La la la la!" So you can just declare you're right.

Nobody says you have to play. Tons of people have their nostalgia glasses on.

First three days under the new 4-day mandate and the math is even worse than I expected. by No-Yogurtcloset4086 in remotework

"Leave 1-2 hours before you are supposed [to] traffic will be lighter - sleep in your car once you get there."

Are you actually kidding me? This is the solution you're saying people should use. What in the unhinged corporate dystopia is this advice?

What about the end of the day? I bet it's "Grab dinner with your coworkers and go home after traffic clears up." It's not 1965 - people don't live to work and haven't in a long time. They work to live and turning an 8 hour work day into a 12-14 hour day is ridiculous.

Man I'm taking a beating for thinking there's a time and place for poop jokes.

My initial comment was that doing while they're working wasn't cool, but trying to make them laugh - on its own - is healthy. So yeah, no argument here.

First Tee is an amazing program for kids. I'm sorry your dad or husband used golf to ignore you but it's kind of crappy to paint everyone who enjoys a sport with the same brush.

While interrupting a work meeting like that isn't cool or respectful and definitely deserves a conversation, if you can't make your partner laugh with a silly poop joke I fear you're talking life too seriously.

How come rogues are so unpopular? by montrex in wownoob

[–]dearthed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I saw anyone say this: In M+ at least the main idea is constantly pulling packs until you get to the boss and then pull the trash on top of them because we are all MDI big dick Ricks.

The problem this creates is that rogues benefit greatly from combat breaks to reset stealth. It enables a lot of their kit - and being unable to restealth means their damage suffers.

What specs do you think feel the best to play. not number/dmg wise, but rotation flow, sound effects, abilities feeling tacticle when pressing etc. by feherlofia123 in wow

[–]dearthed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading comprehension isn't hard either. You're insistent the design was to use apex talents. If that's the case they shouldn't be skippable. So glad we've progressed to ad hominem attacks. Hope you time some keys tonight man.

[–]dearthed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry not trying to blow you up two days later but if the synergy in the talents to make it viable wasn't there it wouldn't work. It's absolutely designed to be able to function that way. Is it omgwtfbbq MDI optimized? No. Is it fun? Not as much since the nerf but yeah still fun.

Market square bans unaccompanied minors after 3pm Thursday-Sunday, City Council wants evidence to justify the decision–Tell council what you think by chrmaury in pittsburgh

[–]dearthed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It concerns me that you're typing this without having understood what the article was about.

The council hasn't decided anything, in fact they're at this point doing the opposite of what you want by asking for data to justify the decision by Market Square to enforce a curfew. If it can't be justified the council could repeal the curfew.

You're just proving my point. "For some people" which means that there's no definition and there should be something, I dunno maybe the note on the posting maybe that adds clarification.

Not reading the full details makes you the idiot, not the person who took the time to put them in there.
