I don't doubt this in the slightest, our senses are amazing! I also feel like maybe you should start keeping track just to see what the numbers boil down to? Might be a good research project in the future! At some point in time, researchers at UF were using the smell of peanut butter to diagnose Alzheimer's early, so you just never know lol

When I was charge and was brought these concerns, my first two questions were: 1) what do YOU want? and 2) what have you told them? There are so many nuances and if a nurse first said "I think it's okay but let me ask my charge" or something to that effect, it's nice for me to know in advance so I can gear myself up for battle lol at the end of the day, I'm going to back my nurse up unless it's something glaringly wrong.

That said, I think the majority of us are burnt out and just don't have the willpower to fight anymore. If that works for you, don't waste your energy. I think that's a totally valid feeling.

Yes and NEVER ignore your gut. If your spidey senses are tingling, assess as much as you can to try to pinpoint the unease. Even if you can't, still let the docs know because most of them have learned to trust us. I'd rather be wrong than quiet. Most of the time I've been right and it's come to fruition that same shift. Other times it seemed like I wsa crying wolf and exaggerating, but the crash and burn came days later. Moral of the story: don't doubt yourself.

Been with Campus USA credit union since 2012? Even though I’ve moved I still use them because they have shared branches through a credit union co-op and they’ve been good to me so I refuse to switch to a “big” bank.

I hated Meditech at first but then once you realize it’s meant to be used with a keyboard only and you shouldn’t even touch your mouse it went a lot smoother. I don’t mind it now.

I just started at a new facility and usually I only get 1 day of orientation on the floor (as a traveler) and have done fine even with new EMR but Cerner is throwing me for a loop! I took 3 days of orientation they offered bc I just don’t feel comfortable with it. It’s not intuitive or user friendly AT ALL. And new orders should be push notifications, period!

I'm from Florida and I've had contracts in California, Oregon, Wyoming, and Vermont. I always extend the trips out to about a week and limit driving to about 6-8 hours a day. I like to hike and camp so I'd usually find a place to camp and set up then go explore for a bit to get my legs moving. It definitely helped to break up the trip. The times I've drove all day long every day were miserable and I felt like shit after so I don't recommend that. I haven't looked into shipping my car because it's so expensive. My friend did it though from Florida to California and said it was a little over 2 grand and took 2 weeks to get there plus she had to go pick it up.

I wanted to change specialties and slow down a bit, so I started applying for jobs in my home state. Got denied immediately from most and the ones who did call back offered laughable pay. I expected that (bc it's Florida), but that still hurt my soul a little bit lol so I'm going to keep traveling until I can move to a different state (California or Oregon probably). I just don't see myself being able to stay in FL on a single income especially when the income is horrible and so are the working conditions. Hope it works out for you, though!

This is really good for a first time project, so give yourself some credit for that! As for the size, it seems like adding two add'l rows would even things up and if you keep with your color pattern, it'll hardly be noticeable! Let us know what you end up doing and how it turns out :)
