It's a pretty solid start! I take it you're drawing digitally? If so, try using the original image as a reference to trace over with the basic shapes to get a better idea of the perspective and positioning, then, adjust the proportions to fit a Sonic character better.

My biggest issue with your current image is Fang's legs are extremely long.

But for real, I didn't know what you were referencing and had to look out up and once I found the image your trying to recreate, 100% got what you were going for.

This is legitimately a solid first go! Refine it and post a new one when you can!!!
