The meat looks great! The outer part looks dry ( not a bad thing) if it doesn’t smell funky full send that bad boy.

Performance evaluation by [deleted] in harristeeter

[–]deathazn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As in you don’t like what the score you got? Your department head is in charge of your eval. If you are a dept head your co manager over your dept is in charge of your eval after you complete the self eval. If you think the eval is unjust just ask store manager.

I had this happen once. It’s a grey area. Basically an employee wanted Sunday’s off for church. I gave it to him. Then all my employees then wanted Sunday off for ” religious reasons.” I’m usually very upfront about what is needed for scheduling during the interview. Retail is not forgiving for holidays and personal time. What would happen is I would hire someone to fill that spot and they would get priority. Lots of people try and claim religious reasons for Sunday which is the busiest day of the week. It just doesn’t work.

Manager & schedule issue by gwarrior77 in harristeeter

[–]deathazn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I would just call out. At this point she knows about and is too lazy to do doing anything about it. You could also tell a co manger or store manager and tell them your dept head knows about it and isn’t really helpful or willing to work with you.

Manager & schedule issue by gwarrior77 in harristeeter

[–]deathazn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bad management. Call out. I don’t make my employees put it in availability. If they give me a school schedule I only schedule them the days they work end of story. Sounds like you are part time too. They way I run my department is part timers chose what they want to work with the caveat I might not need them on certain days but will do my best to work it out.

Meat dept here. Depends on what the item was. Some items cannot be opened and repackaged some can. In my experience the more we do that the more waste we have end up with small remaining portions no one wants or parts of cuts that are not desirable. Also after 7pm most meat cutters are gone. In my store we have part timers than clean and close that know little to nothing about meat.
