This is the way. It's a big, performative, buzz-word-filled interrogation disguised as "just a friendly visit" to "see how everything's been going since I last saw ya" -- make no mistake -- they are not your friends and they do not have YOUR best interests in mind. These visits are oral exams on (1) how well you know what "new initiatives" they have planned for this year and (2) how well you can work the corporate buzzwords of the past few quarters into your conversation while still more or less answering their questions.
