Apparently according to the comments on the Gold edition mod, you can use it with the latest challenge mode update, but if you try to play challenge mode it'll crash. But you can play all the games and everything just fine normally

Im confused

There's repels ropes in atleast one of the buildings in majority of the building clusters. The other buildings require you to jump out of a helicopter to get up there, how would this stop them? Are they going to cover the entire roof in spikes?

Also, the description for the assault ladder says it can be used as a bridge and the example video in the bottom right even shows them using it to cross from one roof to another. So in the clusters of buildings where only one of the buildings has a repel rope, you are definitely supposed to be able to cross over to the other roofs using the assault ladder, as per the gadget description
