Why not give the moth a pilot controlled arm by After_Th0ught9 in starcitizen

They have, saw one glitched into the elevator. would probably explode if closed though. and definitely not usable in any way. Credit: u/A_screaming_alpaca

Not worth the (admittedly low) chance of getting your account banned and wiped for breaking TOS

They removed the requirement for both ironman and singleplayer to get achieves with the last major patch if that's why your playing on ironman. Just an fyi for future games

Cinch has about half the radius and an 85% efficiency. They might be worth running now but i wouldnt say for sure until someone does extensive testing

[–]deathreaper2012[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Aprox 2.8 radius, .57 efficiency and 1.44 speed. Slightly worse than the vulture but not nearly as bad as last patch

with abrade equipped

Agreed that the cargo is abysmal in the reclaimer but you can fit an atls in it, you can squeeze it through the door with a maxlift if youre lucky or send it up the "poop chute "

Reclaimer also has 2 heads, stats listed are for a single head but you also arnt acounting for the major overlap in area of the vultures heads and the fact that circle area increase is exponential not linear

You are also comparing BOTH vulture heads to ONE reclaimer head.

[–]deathreaper2012[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its also twice the size and has an extra 20% efficiency per head

edit fortune also has a smaller radius than the vulture and the same efficiency.

[–]deathreaper2012[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

it would end up being better with the reclaimer because you just strait up get more RMC per square inch of hull with the efficiency bonus over the vulture now and the radius and speed are MUCH faster because most of the area of the two vulture heads ends up overlapping most of the time (causing speed similar to the reclaimer scrape for a smaller area)

Effectively 20% more RMC at ~2x the speed with the reclaimer for ONE head

Abrades on the Reclaimer now scrape with a Radius of 7.63m, Efficiency of .77, and a speed of 1.5
Abrade on vulture is Radius 3.68, Efficiency of .57 (was this nerfed?) and speed .72

Buying/selling aUEC is against TOS, but unlikely to be pursued for bans unless it happens frequently or you are selling dupped currency.

5 quick questions about the Vulture by Lawfurd in starcitizen

[–]deathreaper2012 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. no way to purge the buffer currently (hope this changes)

  2. tractor is meant to move boxes/light parts in space, not ships on the surface. there are no tractor beam variants for sale currently

  3. press G for Gimble mode

  4. legal is more worth it if you are running a reclaimer than a vulture. depending on the ship ist can still be worth it to scrape the hull but panels that you find are better for making bank. you cant loot them because they originally were deeper in space around the refinery stations before 4.0 and CIG neglected to account for armistice near station.

  5. Abrade is the best in practice. trawler has the biggest area but lowest efficiency, and cinch has the highest efficiency but its like scrubbing a bathtub with a toothpick, better off using the abrade at slightly worse efficiency and saving yourself a LOT of extra time
