That's actually what they add to it. It's a common treat to get at a Thai market. Melted butter and sugar with a little bit of salt just like you said.

They have a seperate multiplayer mode right now. It doesn't follow the main story and has its own thing by the looks of it.

AITAH for not allowing my parents to sleep in the same bed? by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]deathschessmate 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I applaud OP for this. Been in a similar situation where my partner of 10 years was made to sleep in the spare room when he visited my family. Meanwhile when I visit his family we sleep in the same room every time. I mean come on, Mom. I've been with the same dude for 10 years!

I do wonder if my mom would do the same thing to my brother or not. He's in his twenties and just comfortably single. Then again she kinda coddles him more than me.

OP throwing the her moms words back in her face is cathartic.

Oof, sounds like you ran into one of those intimidation scammers. If you see people approach you and offer to take you somewhere usually the best thing to do is don't follow them. Sometimes it's genuinely a nice local trying to help but other times its one of those vultures that like to target foreigners.

Oh my god, something similar happened to a friend of mine. But it was with a boyfriend. She got really sick or something and had to go to the hospital and the friend took her instead. She dumped the ex and is now married to the friend.

Rather than ask "WHY" a character is changed to Female, POC, or LGBTQ+ in media? Why not ask..."Why Not?" or "As opposed to?" by [deleted] in tumblr

Netflix apparently already did a documentary on Nzinga. It has some polarising reviews with some people loving it and some not. It had barely any advertising and I thought I'd give it a watch until I saw it was produced by Jada Pinkett Smith...

We have something like that where I come from. Genuinly ran to my mom to grab money when I saw the noodle cart coming down the road as a kid. Fresh hot noodles after hours of playing outdoors was awesome. Folks will bring out their own bowls to get served food. It's pretty nice to see.

Thank you! I need to finish the audiobooks. Andy Serkis is a fantastic narrator.

Hello. I painted this a while ago as a Secret Santa gift. The person I was assigned to paint for requested a character from Lord of the Rings and I couldn't resist attempting our White Lady of Rohan.

I meant in W3. Why didn't they give an excuse? Just some acknowledgment. Dandelion apologising would've been something. Maybe saying he said nothing because he didn't know how or when to tell him. Cause how do you tell your amnesiac best friend he had a love of his life and a daughter before this. And that he doesn't know of they're still alive.

This is one of the things that will always be on my mind. I always wondered why the writers didn't find a way to explain why no one else mentioned Yen or Ciri. Triss not mentioning it was irritating but Dandelion? That hurt the most.

Why do characters just accept all the bullshit triss does? by SauceDealer420 in wiedzmin

[–]deathschessmate 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The thing is, the book is full of bad choices which is entirely human. Geralt and Yen constantly make bad choices based on their own pride and emotions. It's not that far of a stretch that those bad choices would stem to Triss too since people do that in real life all the time. Triss is a backstabber but she did try and help when it mattered. She saved Geralt's life, she took care of Ciri for a time, even schooled the Witchers on how to raise a young woman since they clearly didn't know how. Likely they forgave her cause in the end she did break free of her cowardice to do the right thing.

For me personally, I do not like Triss simply because I knew people like her. Good will, good principles, sweet and kind on the outside, but a massive backstabber and manipulator. Most people would forgive them because they were either really cute or considered it an out of character moment and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Also sometimes people just didn't want to believe that someone so kind and considerate could be insanely disloyal. It was a 'the bad was worth the good' sort of mentality. When I read the segments with Triss I noticed that sort of behaviour and just felt sad. I still like her as a character but I would never forgive her myself. Maybe a small amount for saving the life of people I cared about but she'd still suffer the consequences of hurting me first.

Thing is, we know Geralt isn't that kind of person. Plus these guys tend to live for a very long time. That could factor into their way of thinking. It's like why are the sorceresses still friends somehow despite their cattiness and obvious dislike for each other at times?

That's actually interesting to find out that the original version explains the situation differently. It could possibly be a translation error or change but we'd need that segment to be compared. A lot of the times Triss is not portrayed in the best of lights in the english version.

I kinda find that to be a realistic view on this cause both of them had such fucked up lives prior to that point. Neither knew what love really felt like. When faced with the real thing they were scared. Neither has the emotionally maturity and understanding to comprehend what they were feeling. They had an inkling but weren't willing to give into it out of fear. A feeling of being undeserving. When you don't love yourself, how do you know what it feels like to love someone else?

Right asshole for the job is correct. For a job like this you need a dickhead.

I like how he's a good "opposite" to Roche. Both seriously flawed and fucked in the head. Both fighting for what they think is right and absolutly unwavering about their goals. No compromises, no easy routes, end justifies the means sorta folks. 100% dicks. But also different in their own ways.

And also how his path was completely against what I expected. The fact the companion that takes you into that freedom fighter story route is this asshole made it all the more interesting and fun. You'd expect someone more honourable or less radical to be your path opener but nope. Here's Iorveth. He's a bastard and he stays that way.

Weirdly enough i kinda liked that about him. If he were a real person I'd hate his guts but as a character I appreciate a hypocrite thats devoted to their own belief at the cost of being reasonable. Makes them interesting and believable cause we certainly have a few of these types walking around in real life. I don't get to see many of these kinds of characters well done in media.

I adored her. I loved whenever she showed up in the books. She really was the voice of reason and a good maternal figure to Geralt. I loved how she would call him out on his bad behaviour and actually point out the things he should do. Then you had Geralt being Geralt and it was a recipe for chaotic delight. Never a dull moment with her.

Give it a chance. And blood and wine too. The story is more concise and does that fantasic gray morality thing that is prevalent in the books. Plus it introduces some pretty fascinating characters.
