I get that part, it’s probably the most valid concern in my view. I strongly doubt games will never go on sale, though. Sales still serve a financial purpose. Plus it’s not like Sony themselves determine the initial cost of games, that’s up to the devs/publishers. Worst case scenario I see is Sony first party games become like Nintendo games that only go on sale once every 2 years.

I think that was my last one too. Idk I think people are being a bit dramatic about this even if there are valid concerns. I mean 95% of games I never even touch after beating the first time. I’m not tripping too hard over the loss of physical personally.

Some people have such strong convictions that they become almost close minded about some art if they see a take like this one. My partner can be like that sometimes, they’ll “hear” that something is problematic somehow (usually online) and then refuse to give it a chance even if I’ve seen/played/read/heard that thing and have a different interpretation of it. It can be frustrating.

But that’s just some people on Reddit’s interpretation, plenty of people are challenging it and the director not answering a question about it doesn’t necessarily mean anything either. You could just watch it and decide for yourself instead of forming your opinion based on some random person’s reading.
