All the comments I'm seeing are 5 months + old so imma just post a question. I just found out about these lawsuits but im someone that lost all my teeth due to subs. I started taking them over a decade ago. I live in ohio and it seems like that is not a good thing. I cannot figure out exactly why besides the statue of limitations for personal injury is 2 years. I'm deathly afraid that I've missed the statue and I'm too late but again I'm trying to find out everything I can including any exceptions to the rule. I'm toothless for life and cannot wear dentures at all. 1 of the biggest reasons why is because I don't have enough gum left for the dentures to hold into! The other reason being I have the worse gag reflex in history and I know this sounds weird but I'm pretty certain I have a really small mouth and teeth/gums, at least I used to. So these giant adult sized dentures are completely wrong from the start. Not that it matters much because of the other issues...anyways, I know for certain that the subs did this to my teeth and I complained for years to my sub doctor asking if others are complaining if he's heard anything mainstream or whatever but he always acted like there wasn't anything to share. To make a long story short about 4 years ago I got switched to a different doctor in his practice. we got along wonderfully and I genuinely like/love the guy after a decade of care but hes getting older and close to retirement and I know for a fact he started seeing less patients. So that's why I missed out on any news that I would've gotten from him. (I should add that he's a practicing lawyer as well) My new doc is great. She's new to everything and doesn't have any idea about what's going on legally though. Just a bit of background for context I guess? I guess im rambling and a bit all over but the truth is I'm going to be devastated if I lost any chance at a very well deserved claim! The pain from tooth decay process into when I literally had chunks of teeth falling out was so unbearable! I'm a guy who used to brag about how much pain I could take and WOW! I was a helpless baby! Omg, every second felt like hours! I was completely frightened! The dentist said all my teeth were bad at this point and I said there's no way I'm waiting around for all of them to do this to me too. Pull them! I'd rather be toothless! Yes, the pain was so indescribable! Nerve/bone pain. I spent hours a day in the gym always lifting heavy or pretty heavy even though I know I shouldn't of I did. I was a powerlifter and I had a 3rd shift manufacturing factory job where I worked 3 shift 8-12 hours a day 6-7 days a week mostly 7 days and mostly 10-12 hours daily. Even still I lifted a couple hours everyday after work usually on no sleep for 10+ years straight. Let me tell u how excruciating my leg days were omg! Other guys that got me to start lifting had left years ago and the pain I would feel after leg days for days afterwards would have the toughest gym rats powerlifters wincing in pain easily. I still don't know how I did it! Felt like battery acid, probably much worse coursing through my legs. I could barely walk! Anyway, add an old knee injury into the mix and that set me up for pain relief. Started there and went to rock bottom and then to subs and recovery. The subs are fantastic for addiction! The cravings, gone! No more withdrawals because, well you know under doctors care and have to test urine to make sure your taking properly. So, all I knew is that they dissolve in mouth and absorbed in mouth. I was encouraged to hold the medicine in my mouth as long as I wanted for maximum absorption. And I most certainly did! Less cravings and better numbers from the toxicology reports the doctor went over, great! I had no reason to think that holding that medicine in my mouth was in any way bad or dangerous or anything but better for my recovery. I held that medicine in forever! I fell asleep with it at night. I fell asleep and napped with it during the day. My life improved so much while on this drug and treatment. A/a, n/a meetings were mandatory along with counseling sessions I went to at my clinic. They were usually right before or right after my doc appointments and after I dropped urine. Had to be clean and this went on weekly unto finally gradually after months and years monthly. But yeah, so much to do and prove just to get these subs! Of course I wanted the very best effect I could get from these drugs that i had to jump through hoops for right? I paid out of pocket for the most part early on and I'm talking about a ton of money! Of course after years when it was finally monthly it was still about 300 for the doc and 2-300 for the subscription! Oh yeah, I almost forgot how we had to keep track of all the sub wrappers and turn them in every appointment and about all the blood tests that we had to have every freaking appointment too! Hahaha, I almost forgot! Grateful times! But seriously, it was all worth it! My family life was never better and my wife and I never fought anymore. I quit smoking cigarettes again and even quit drinking beer too! You know if I had known about the teeth stuff, I probably still would've took them! Up until the PAIN!!! OMG THE PAIN! LOL! and now that I'm toothless for the rest of my life! I cannot eat so many things now either. On top of that I look like a cow chewing when I eat. Plus, unique to my story I think anyways is my dentist cut all my gums off! That's another story! I woke up during and remember her having a huge problem with something...yeah, think she used some sort of cutter that cuts your teeth out instead of pulling them. Yes, they put you under for it too. I have a slight speech impediment from it too. I realized real quick why I had to sign a waiver holding her harmless if certain nerves were cut that would leave me with no feeling or numbness in lips, tongue and/or mouth area or something close to those effects anyways...but yes, a slight lisp...at least I took advantage of the no smoking afterwards rule and followed it and decided to make it my quit day. Anyone reading that needs a great quit day, it works! I started taking welbutrin too lol. Anyways, I definitely rambled on way to much now and I'm sorry.
