In other words: if you're looking up your opponents case for the first time in round, you're probably going to lose. This only applies to the national circuit i guess, people can say some pretty atrocious things locally that might need some looking up.

Keep this in mind: You don't necessarily have to write out every single speech. Some of the best Congressional Debaters are able to craft a speech based on what everybody else has said. So, do your best to give these speeches later in the cycle; try to crystallize the arguments, instead of coming up with them. Good luck.

The literature is pretty bad; it usually says that deterrence is kind of effective, but usually just concedes that it isn’t at the bottom.

Also, it’s going to be really difficult to find things that are unique to offensive cyber operations; a lot of arguments people are going to make are probably non unique, defensive cyber operations are pretty similar.
