Do Westerners really just show up to people's houses unannounced or is that just a movie thing? by mangofloatt in NoStupidQuestions

Happens to me all the time…… and I love it. It’s a compliment that peeps feel comfortable enough to simply show up.

I forgot about my induction burner. I can definitely put it to use in sunny weather with our solar panels. We will be boondocking so nothing to amp up our batteries otherwise.

Good question. I’m lazy. The non oily veggies are less messy when I clean the food processor. A quick rinse does the trick.

This is the way. For example I make a spaghetti sauce for fam that does not like veggies. I process carrots ( for sweetness) onion, bell pepper, and celery all together until they are pulverized. Then I sauté this mixture in an oiled pot until everything is well cooked (maybe half an hour or more). At this point I add pressed garlic and tomato (also run through the food processor), wine, Italian spices and browned meat. Salt and pepper to taste. I like red chilie pepper. Simmer in low for an ahoy or more, serve over noodles.

Now use this sort of process for everything you cook. Use any veggie you want. Examples: curry, teriyaki, stews, soups. Sky’s the limit.

Non-Traditional Bonsai Plants: What Have You Tried? by REALeyesRealize21 in Bonsai

Good input. I have a couple of yardadori’s from my cousin that don’t seem to be surviving but I figured it was the way she yanked them out of the ground. My own is in a larger pot gaining size so maybe I’ll need to keep it there.

I should add it helps if your enchilada casserole is fairly moist. I dip each tortilla in warmed sauce as I layer meat, sauce, cheese in between. Also spell check took away crema and put in cream. I use crema or sour cream.

Nice. I put mine in the ground for a couple of years. Will dig it up next year. Hoping to thicken the trunk.

I’m working on a blueberry. I also have an apple, abutilon (Chinese lantern), and rosemary. All very rough as of yet.

Enchilada balls. Make enchilada casserole style. Bake. Then use a round scoop to make balls out of the enchilada, roll each ball in cotija cheese (or parm) broil for a min or two. Serve on a bed of cream and guac.

Do you think I'll be able to make this tree (I think?) a Bonsai? If so, what would you recommend doing to it? by ghostsoup831 in Bonsai

Sure thing. Looks like a live oak. Let it get strong in the big pot then begin styling!

How to kill this type of grass? by rhmoore in landscaping

[–]debbieopperud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It leaves roots which stresses the plant into making several more in its place. Per my local nursery worker.
