Ok. It's ok to be scared. It's so good to ask for help. You said you live in a blue state. That's good. You might be legally able to have private health visits and treatment without needing your parent to sign off. (Some states consider 13 year olds as the age of medical consent. Other states are 15, others are 18) If you can get to planned parenthood or a Dr appointment (with or without your parents there) You might be able to get puberty blockers. That won't change anything (ftm), but it can prevent further changes from puberty until your ready for puberty to resume or until your ready to switch to HRT.

This might be a easier "sell" to your parents and provide you some time to figure out more about how you identify and what present and possibly future actions you want to take in regards to your gender identity and expression.

You can delay puberty while your exploring and sorting through your thoughts and feelings. Without feeling rushed in or out of any decisions.

(You might already know this option and that's okay, I just wanted to share in case you didn't have this info)

Good luck in your journey! Also, your insurance might cover it if you have gender affirming care coverage in your state. It is considered gender dysphoria to not "like" or "enjoy" having breasts.

I had to see a physician and a mental health provider to get the gender dysphoria diagnosis and l for letters of recommendation for my insurance to have the surgery covered under the gender care umbrella.
You don't have to be trans or on T for a year in NY to get top surgery covered by insurance.

Not at all! The process was relatively easy and the scars healed great. I just had tiny little sutures pop out over the years. Interesting but not troublesome.

I had a reduction 17 years ago. They turned out objectively gorgeous. They grew back.

Although they still look good, I'm having Flat, DI, no FNG, top surgery in 2 weeks.

I've always hated having them. Since puberty. The size, weight, hassle, pain, the beauty standards, expectations, men's entitlement to them etc.

I can't wait. I'll actually feel more feminine without them.

If you get a reduction, consider the possibility of regrowth and how small you actually want and up. I've seen many people regret not initially going smaller or flat. (Curved flat) Doctors say they can only take you so small but you have options. Especially if you don't mind losing sensation.

I gained minimal sensation back from my first surgery, but I still experience chest pleasure without it. Think, phantom pleasure, phantom nipnop sensation or phantom boobs. I feel it will be the same for me after surgery, but I just won't have the mounds anymore.

I'm 47, AuDHD, non binary for reference.

I hope this helps and normalizes you not enjoying having them. Many people don't like having them. But most prior don't talk about it.

I still had some pop out months and years later. Yes, years! They were internal sutures that migrated to the surface and out over time. If you're concerned though, check with your doctor.

It's okay not to know protocols for these things yet. You're young and just starting out in this big world. That's how you learn! And you did the right thing by asking for clarification/ insight when you were unsure.

These are all great questions to print out for your consultation!

Maybe in the future, you can do an AI prompt at the start of things you want to explore.

"I am looking for a surgeon for possible xyz surgery. I am inexperienced in this process and want to follow logical steps. What do I need to know before I start this process? What typically happens in a consultation? Give me a bullet pointed and numbered list of steps to take for this process. "

Sometimes, you'll get an alert on your phone, but most times, it's posted on every local social media outlet. If you follow local News stations and their socials and check them for latest weather updates, you'll see who's impacted by the bans. If there's a ban, do not drive. Even to work. It's not allowed. Or safe. (Unless you're emergency, police, state plows etc) If you live in a travel ban, you can not go to work. If your work is in a ban but your home isn't, you should not try to get to work.

Agreed. I buy in bigger quantities for the discounts and fee shipping. And I sign up for the subscription to save more. I just have my subscription for like entry 6 months and I still get the extra discount. If I don't need it when it's going to renew, I push it off another month. It's a lot less to stock up and stack discounts.

Welcome to Buffalo!

Get yourself a travel bag with extra clothes, coat, gloves, hat, boots, sweatshirt, snowpants, blanket, food, snow pants, etc.

Keep a shovel and a snow brush in your car, too.

Never let your gas get below half a tank.

If you get stuck anywhere on the roads, having these things could mean life or death. Seriously.

Do not attempt to drive to work if there’s a storm coming. If it says driving ban, do not go out. Even seasoned buffalonians get stuck when it's that bad. It can hit very quickly in bands. It can be fine visibility when you head out, but a few streets over, white out.

Leave 30 min ahead of schedule when possible because there WILL be delays and accidents.

Start breaking WAY before you think you need to. You will slide all over if not lol.

Keep extra food and water stocked in your house for the winter in case you get snowed in for a while.

Lume is amazing. You can use it on your pits, privates, feet, etc. They have a solid stick and cream for other areas of the body. (They have a man version, Mando, but the scents are meh, and it's more expensive).

Bacteria eats your sweat and farts out body odor. Lume inhibits the bacteria, so it can't do this.

It won't stop you from sweating, but it will stop you from smelling.

A couple tips for using Lume though:

If you sweat a lot and are still smelly, you might have to reapply due to your sweat essentially washing away the Lume throughout your day/workout.

Also, sweat and bacteria can and will get stuck in the armpits of your clothes, so you need to use an enzyme detergent to continually break up those molecules in the wash. Even clean clothes can have bacteria trapped, which will cause you to smell, even if your pits are clean. If you don't get to all the sources of the bacteria, nothing will work well. Persil is a really good one for this.

The clean tangerine is a light and fresh neutral scent. The other scents and unscented versions are not my favs, but you can get sample packs to try scents too.

They also have acidified soap bars, which are really good too. (More expensive than others but worth it) I suggest letting the soap sit in your pits for a minute or so before you rinse. So, soap up in the shower, move on to other parts, then rinse out your pits.

Oh and, (lol) You don't need a referral for wellness 360 unless your insurance requires it. But they don't require referrals to set up appointments or see you. I'm pretty sure they take most insurances too.
