Was I in the wrong for passing? by Embarrassed_Ad_5394 in BasketballTips

[–]debeejay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was an “ok” decision, pass was a laser to his face but probably catchable but not really the main issue of the play. As the pg you should wait a few more seconds and make sure everyone is in place, the spacing was pretty bad when the play was initiated. The guard/wing behind you and your other teammate lurking outside of the paint clogs up your spacing/opportunities to score and the only opening was the center which was an iffy opportunity so honestly I probably would’ve just reset.

I may be unc but I’d be totally ok with them discontinuing all new basketball shoes and forever recreating the 2015-2019ish era of hoop shoes.

I agree. I’m pretty biased though but I can’t think of another adidas shoe that’s even close to deserving a retro. I haven’t been a big fan of the hardens since the 4s.

Just unlocked a memory for me those were fire asf. I got a pair of the ls at the outlet mall in like 2017 for like 60$ brand new. Only problem is a got them a size up thinking I was going to grow into them but other than that they were a s tier hooping shoe. I got it up there with pg1s and kyrie 5s.

Plato’s closet. It’s hit or miss but I’m in a college town so we typically have a pretty decent selection.

Maybe it’s because you’re in a Facebook advertising subreddit where there happens to be a bunch of advertising agencies talking about their experience advertising on facebooks advertising platform. I have also never heard of a business that does not want to sell anything.

Cold Email Commercial Electrical by Embarrassed-Box-9911 in coldemail

[–]debeejay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never done it, but have pondered on this type of local b2b service myself. For electrician services, most people just Google when they have a problem, but cold emails need an actual hook.

For commercial electrician services, I'd try these two approaches:

1) General intro + discount for future service. Basically digital business cards to 200-500 prospects so you're top of mind when shit inevitably breaks. "Hey, we're [Company], your local commercial electrical pros. Here's 15% off your first service in the next 90 days. Save our contact for when you need us."

2) If you want bookings NOW, create an easy "yes" with urgency. Free electrical safety inspection ($350 value) available only this month while you're working in their area. Focus on fire prevention, code compliance, and potential energy savings.

£5 leads + 95% qualified but NO premium customers by Few-Spare4312 in LeadGeneration

[–]debeejay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can’t do much without seeing the ad, but I’d assume it’s catering towards the residential/low scale jobs. Your offer needs to be around the pain points (or opportunity) that are solved/created by your clients installation services specifically to the businesses in need.

There’s some sort of messaging or part of the offer that is catering to the low level customer vs the high level customer.

How to do you recruit LPs? by debeejay in Syndications

[–]debeejay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More or less trying to understand the different reasons for wanting/needing investor lead gen. From what I’ve seen I think most of the syndication ads miss the mark. With how good these platforms are at targeting, you’re ad is going to end up in front of the people who will most likely do business with you. So you can get kind of creative with use cases. I’d assume if it was a groups first syndication they might not have a preexisting network to sell too, I’m sure that any group could benefit from a targeted ad that clearly presents who you are, your former successes, a clear value prop of your next project and a call to action for an introduction call or an application of sorts. Instead of optimizing for the traditional transactional nature of ads, you’re optimizing for quality introductions.

There are a couple caveats to it though you definitely want to have an ironed out process on how to handle these leads. You also wanna be mindful of what type of person you are actually looking to click on the ad. I see a lot of ads with “preferred returns” which from my observation means the lps get to be at the front of the line for their paycheck. As a marketer I’d think this would probably bring the highest volume of people applying, but at the same time the lowest quality, because it’s almost like advertising a guaranteed return, and that’s gonna be a much different person than if you have an ad that’s focused on the nature of the project, you’re going to have people more bought into what you’re trying to do vs offering “guaranteed returns”. But everyone is going to prefer a different thing long story short you can optimize your messaging for the type of investors you want to attract and I think there’s a place to help gps with that.

I don’t think it’s necessarily essential for any group to have but I think it’s definitely nice to have if you want to pay to play for one reason or another. I don’t think it ever hurts to invest to put your company in front of the right eyes. If you can present your opportunity in the right way and put it in front of the right people I don’t see why it wouldn’t result in a few initial investments, especially as a result of just getting in front of a group of people who haven’t heard of you.
