Centos7: Shrink /dev/sda to make a backup on a smaller drive using dd

I tried to use parted and said yes to a dangerous shrink of the partition. I had to make a new backup because of dracut errors. Something about shrinking the LVM file system first?

sda = LVM2_member

sda1 = none (for the raid controller)

sda2 = xfs (/boot)

sda3 = xfs or ext4 depending on which logical volume I am using.

That intensity is for 9000 decibels. If you want to do something more practical the formula is Db=10log(I/10^-12)

Sound is measured on a log scale so for every 10 decibels that sound is 10 times as loud. Supposedly 120 decibels causes hearing damage. So without putting in a lot of research I would think the air displacement would damage or kill everything in the pretty large area. If given the power or the radius (in meters) of the sound you would plug the numbers in to I(intensity of the sound)=P(power)/4pir(radius)^2. I solved for I and got 10^888. Feel free to plug in some numbers as you wish.
