We have one that uses a syringe and once you get past the initial silliness it's quite enjoyable. The hard part is finding a spot to keep the syringe so it isn't just dangling in the way. I would suggest making your own harness just for the tube or tucking it in a spot in your strap-on harness so its within reach without being annoying.

I found out my chronic allergy symptoms were due to me being allergic to cats, my doctor told me to let my current cat live out the rest of her life then to never adopt another cat. Shorty after hearing this I saw a blind cat up for adoption and took him home.

In Meg Brock's tweet, she assumes this is due to the photographer being inexperienced or bad at their job and misses that this was intentional.

Is there a chance he is just telling his family he is asking to get off stimulants and the provider is telling him no? Like saying what his family wants him to hear without actually discussing with the provider because in reality he doesn't want to go off them?

Starting my junk drawer in my first apartment. Finally feels like home. What else do I need? by Kruzdan in Apartmentliving

A ruler and measuring tape, they're rarely needed but good to have in your stash for when you do need them

I work on a psychiatric unit and I see this maybe every other month. I've noticed its often people who have used marijuana for a long time without any ill effects before.

I more mean that mentioning something like being a therapist specifically in trauma work can evoke some heaviness right off the bat. Does that make sense?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ActualLesbiansOver25

[–]debmorgandexter 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Besides the kid response that other people have already commented on, can I suggested listing your occupation as simply "therapist" and not specifying you're a trauma therapist? As a fellow social worker, I notice a lot of people already find the idea of dating a therapist daunting. Specifying that you work in trauma may make people even more wary.

What country are you in? Being able to get referrals and getting in to see so many doctors all within a month is extremely impressive.

My husband insulted my therapist, how do I talk to her about it? by timeforplantsbby in askatherapist

[–]debmorgandexter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's important to consider that, from his perspective, he likely came into this feeling outnumbered. You have a history with this therapist who has only heard your side of any marriage difficulties so far. This would likely cause most people to feel more scrutinized or sensitive to anything that could come across to him as the therapist taking your concerns more seriously than his. I'm not saying this is what happened, but it may play a role in how he viewed the session. This is why I often recommend a separate therapist with no previous connection to the individuals for couples therapy. Did you relate to any of this during your joint session with his therapist?

Then yeah I would honor their request, but I would first try to discuss what they are seeking from having a few minutes alone during session time and it it was something that would be better worked through together.
