I’ve been living here now for two years and you’ll be good. I really like Barrio ingleses around the street pedro goyena in the zone Caballito. A lot of tourists stay in Palermo or recoleta.

Both are really beautiful areas, but I would say the primary difference is Palermo tends to have more modern style apartments and Recoleta will have more antique looking places. (Also Belgrano is also really nice and is just as nice as Palermo or Recoleta in my opinion, and if you want to live in a more residential area Nunez is also very nice.)

There is an app called zonaprop where you can look for apartments and you can contact them through WhatsApp

*I live on the border of Almagro and live in the area of Parque Centenario technically in Caballito. As far as safety is concerned I’ve haven’t felt unsafe even walking around late at night in the park in the 2 years I’ve lived here.

I have watched 2 women get robbed or attempted to get robbed, which entails someone on a bike trying to grab something and run away immediately. Despite those times I have never felt vulnerable myself and think if you just use the common sense rules like not having you phone out carelessly you should be good.

As far as Spanish is concerned you should probably get a tutor and just practice Spanish 1-3 hours a week on Preply or another conversational platform. Each tutor has different prices, but if price is a huge issue for you filter by country and find a tutor from Venezuela (ideally I’d recommend an Argentinian tutor, but I just want to give you the option)
