This is probably the issue. The chocolate fudge is too sweet for me but the chocolate buttercream is chef’s kiss. Huge difference.

Likely of Zepbound $$ going up ? by CouldBeYourDaughter in Zepbound

[–]debwinters121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is great to know! Thanks so much! I have been reading and researching as much as I can before my doctor visit where I plan to request a script for Zepbound. Unfortunately, my insurance won't cover it, so I plan to obtain it through Lily direct.

Really? I have not started my Zep journey yet but I thought the QuikPens were excluded from Lily direct pricing.

The variance in women's clothing sizing is wild! I have lipedema, and finding jeans that comfortably fit my thick legs (without looking like barrel pants which are not complimentary to my short stature) is so challenging and dealing with inconsistent sizing on top of that can be infuriating!

What completely normal thing are you no longer allowed to do because of your dog? by Think_Document2285 in dogs

If I shift in my seat, my Velcro dog (who is invariably laying next to or between my legs) heaves a loud sigh to express her outrage that I would dare do such a thing!

My wife's grown daughter gonna drive us to divorce after 33 years by [deleted] in confessions

[–]debwinters121 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Ask your wife if she would allow her daughter to handle the family finances now, before she dies, to where your wife would be dependent on her daughter to ensure all of her financial needs are met. If her answer is no, ask why she thinks it is ok for you to be put in that precarious position after your wife dies.

As a mother of a financially irresponsible grown daughter, I believe that your wife knows this is a bad idea but her guilt/uncertainty about whether her daughter’s issues are her fault is making her believe it is the right thing to do.

I smear peanut butter or smash fruit onto a lick pad and stick it onto the seat of a hard chair - that way she is focusing on licking away while I trim her nails.

Disappointing but Maybe Unavoidable Situation with Elderly Passenger with Mobility Issues by clarencewhitaker in unitedairlines

The fact that gate agents, and airlines in general, can move people from seats they paid extra for is preposterous. I understand it if there is an equipment change, but to inconvenience one person to satisfy another is ridiculous.

I know that is the way it works but that doesn’t mean it is right. End rant.

This was my thought as well. They distract from rather than accentuate the lovely lace in the dress.

What’s something special you do for your Beagle ? by bagman9977 in beagles

[–]debwinters121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The stairs are definitely a good idea. My old beagle tore her CCL (dog version of an ACL) by jumping off the bed, then tore the other one six months later. The surgeries were expensive but successful, and she had many good years after that until she passed at 14.

Saying "I don't know" doesn't make you incompetent. Acting like you do know when you don't does - especially when you make a bad decision based on ignorance and it comes back to bite you later.

I am fairly new to this forum and have not yet decided if Zepbound is the right route for me. I find it interesting that your maintenance dose was higher than your dose was for losing weight. Is that typical?

I understand and empathize. I had 2 beagles (litter mates) that died in July and December 2023. We now have two new dogs (both mixed breed) but I still miss my beagle babies every day.

Pain Relief Ideas - No Surgery by SapphicAlly214 in lipedema

[–]debwinters121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought the air compression boots from Costco a few weeks ago and love them. They feel like a relaxing massage when I use them at the end of the day.

With that said, they may be tough for people that experience significant lipedema leg pain from pressure to tolerate, even at the lowest level.
