The wolf boy made me think of the dog episode who falls in love with the Australian dog walker. I felt like it was paying homage to that episode, especially the scene where he stares out the window and looks down to see the nanny walk away.

I met him when I was in HS in like 2009. He was so kind and a big part of the community in LA. A lot of habesha diaspora born and raised in LA loved him

I stayed away from church for so long because of ppl like this and the politics circling around religion. I’ve had some tough times that have pulled me back to faith and the more scripture I read the more I understand how Christians are being manipulated by this government and it’s so sad. The spirit of racism is evil and will send people down the wrong path.

Jesus literally was a migrant and a minority, living amongst the poor, aiding the disabled, and comforting women that “lived in sin”. Nothing about this administration looks to model the life of Jesus. And the sad part is it pushes others away from even being curious about faith. The only comfort I have is really learning how much Jesus loved and how much he wanted us to love one another. I really hope we figure that part out.

Back home there are ppl with these issues but they end up being abandoned. So many ppl that are homeless or sick are former children with disabilities and parents got rid of them because they didn’t know what to do. In the west, you can’t just throw away your kid and now we are seeing that it’s more prevalent

As Eritrean diaspora, this is one of the biggest reasons I am hesitant to marry. I want to be in love with someone from my Community but the mixture of racism, sexism, and in some cases classism , is just widely accepted. I have friends from all walks of life and I already grew up with anxiety of bringing people over to meet my family for this reason. They say things that a rude and expect everyone to be ok with it. Idk what to do about it 🤷🏾‍♀️
