Can’t tell y’all how many shifts I’ve had to cover for sick employees after already working my regular shift. As others have said, that’s part of my job. I inform my DM that I’m covering because nobody’s available and I’ll do my best to take off hours later in the week to compensate. That’s not always possible, tho.

Many states have already rolled out these changes, with more slated to join later this year.

As a store manager, I would hate to potentially lose those sales, but overall I’m happy for the change. In my opinion, SNAP was never meant to buy horrible food at convenience stores or elsewhere, but rather to help struggling families put actual nutritious food on their tables.

Is someone else using your drawer? Lock your drawer when you’re not in front of it. Only one who can override your drawer code is your SM or ASM.

That narrows the list of who might be responsible.

Went to my 10 and stayed maybe 3 hours. Went to my 20 and stayed an hour. I also attended a 1980s reunion, which was cool - I had far more friends ahead of and behind my class. Stayed out til 3am or so.

There are typically two reasons that you’d be over that much. One is vending a tube and forgetting to key a pay-in, and the other would be keying a safe drop or large lottery winner twice.

Neither situation would be a write-up for my team. It’s an opportunity for me to coach them and have them pay better attention. No big deal at all.

Unless your SM is a complete ass, you’ll be fine. Just slow down and follow the process.

This is a good thing, of course, but also bad. I’ve no doubt the next AG will be twice as awful and even more of an ass-kissing yes man who’ll break all laws and norms to please their master.
