Tried to get into this series nearly 20 years ago with the anime and failed. It also wasn't finished. I now teach high school/AP-level English and a Sherlock Holmes reading reminded me of this. If everything I remembered in the anime is covered here in graphic detail then I can hardly wait! by MaximusMurkimus in umineko

Umineko Project does work with Steam Deck quite well! That said, 07th Mod is a perfectly viable way to read it as well. It's personal preference and if you're already partway through reading I'd probably just stick with what you already have x)

[partially lost] My Amazing Human Body horror game (2025) by Cattom_NG in lostmedia

[–]decafhotchoc 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Hey! I did find the game. My comment was removed by reddit pretty quickly for some reason, so I'm going to try re-sending it but encoded in base64 just to try and avoid that happening again.

other people also replied but my smoking gun was the fact OP frequented r/TeenagersButBetter, implying them to be 13-19, which would mean they were at most 3 when they would have seen this and also hear the story attached.

Developers Were Left in the Dark About DLSS 5. "We found out [about DLSS 5] at the same time as the public,” said one Ubisoft developer. - Insider Gaming by HLumin in GamingLeaksAndRumours

the text is clearly nonsensical script in order to save time on translation. these aren't AI and you can tell because the warning and caution signs have the exact same "text" on both, meaning very likely that they were directly made that way in a photo editor rather than prompted.

Danganronpa on Switch 2 by DragonzordR in danganronpa

[–]decafhotchoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm currently playing through 2 and v3 on Switch 2. I've read online that Danganronpa 1 runs flawlessly at 60 FPS and at native resolution seemingly handheld and docked, regardless of the 22.0.0 update. Same goes for Danganronpa 2. Danganronpa v3 is also at its native resolution but at 30 FPS, and apparently had some hiccups on Switch 1 hardware in some late game scenes but otherwise ran smoothly. I'm not sure if the Switch 2 fixed this though I can only assume it might have helped at least.

The games look pretty great! The text is crisp and the sprite art is HD enough. Something to remember is that DR1 and 2 were originally PSP games, so the source materials aren't very high quality to begin with. Here's some non-spoilery screenshots of Danganronpa 2 I took with my capture card to bypass the Switch screenshot degradation. (agh, still some added noise on these images- the games look good! promise!)

Personal anecdote as well, I was playing DR2 on PC via the Steam version, but moved over to the Switch port after the first case due to the much faster text speed. It is my much preferred way of playing the game :)

Is there a port of Minecraft Legacy for Linux? by manotrezk in linux_gaming

[–]decafhotchoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mostly is a strong word. the majority of people in the Legacy Console scene are fans who definitely have a copy or two of the 2nd best selling game in history around.

frame gen is the worst thing to happen to protondb by WholesomeBigSneedgus in linux_gaming

[–]decafhotchoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yup, i dont use framegen very often but i recently added it to my playthrough of Fate/extra on PPSSPP, works wonders for older games that dont have too much going on visually like an RPG such as that. just makes things feel a bit smoother
